Just came back from Info pass appointment.
The officer told me that they haven't seen any thing wrong in the system.
Further he told in both of our cases the back ground check is completed and cases are "pre-adjudicated" (i don't know what does it mean)
Then i have asked him why the letter says "not admissible under the current law"
He said, there might be a very minor details the officer needs to clarify or send it to his superior for review. Further more he said he does not have the physical file in his hand right now if you want i will request for the file and look into that. I asked him what do you suggest on this, he said wait for some more time as i don't see any problems in your case. If i order the file your case will be taken out for nearly two months from the queue.
That sounds like good news. You must be relieved.

Clear IE/Firefox temp cache to view refreshed page. I had to do it (pressing F5 20 times did not make a difference). The dates are now updated to July 16, 2007.

I personally think Mr. MPADAPA's assumption is wrong. Last year (2008), the spillover came from Family quota of 2008. Spillover from Family or Employment quota of a particular year cannot be given to the following year. So the fact that there is nothing left from the family quota of 2008 doesn't change any situation here.
So, this year the spillover that Employment category can get from Family quota will be the unused numbers of 2009 Family quota.
This is just my thought!

Kinkos is horrible!!! I went there this morning and had to wait 40 minutes for my photos and when they came back they had a greenish tint and the colors were all washed out. They looked like a two year old photoshoped them :D Clearly they would have been rejected by immigration so I asked for my money back.
I then went to Sears and they did a great job. They have professional studio equipment and all it took was 5 minutes and I had all my copies looking great like they're supposed to.
So... Sears, highly recommended. They charged me $61 for two sets of 8 photos for me and my wife which is the same price as Kinkos or CVS & Walgreens, less the horrible amateurish quality.

Plassey, regarding your thoughts and comments let me tell you something "GC is not the best thing in the world, for which one has to be so depressed and cry in bathroom". Just as example. With my first employer in the US I signed a contract without even reading it well (stupid thing to do, btw). Later I noticed that I signed something like "any products, technology, software, documentation, etc. ever developed by [me] is property of [my employer]". I don't remember the exact wording and lazy to look it up, but it meant that anything I will ever develop will belong to my employer. I didn't hesitate to leave them and contact their direct competitor, my previous employer wrote me "cease and desist" letter threating with legal actions if I will not respond with some time frame. I showed the contract to a lawyer and asked "what should I reply?". He laughed and said - reply "I suggest you to start legal actions immediately" or better don't reply at all. He won't be so stupid to go with this to court - he will lose the case and you will sue him back and recover all expenses.
I didn't reply and never heard from them again. So, yes, illegal and unreasonable agreements are not enforceable.
Also, if you google there was precedent with some guy from India. Who had similar agreement and left the company. The company sued him and lost, appealed and lost. The guy sued back and won, the company paid $200,000+ something expenses. The case was long ago, I don't remember the link.

I had another LUD today as well (2/17) (also had one on 2/10, 2/13). wife only had 2/10 and 2/13.

We have been calling and talking to ppl all over new england area.
But we have hardly been able to get a convincing number of ppl to attend the rally.
Have you watched the bus thread for New England Area. 26 votes, can you believe that.
We definitely need to get more innovative. I dont know what ppl want, so they can be motivated.
Sometimes i think being educated is a curse, as ppl become more scared and are fine adapting to the system.
Look at the ILLEGALS at least they came out openly. They dared to come forward and i am sure they will be rewarded sooner.
LEGAL ppl who have nothing to fear are then also they are more scared to do anything. So this is the right time for me to express my opinion LEGALS ARE FOOLS.
Please dont be mad at me, i am just frustuated with ppl responses, but one thing for sure, i will keep on motivating ppl in whichever way i can do.

I think as a next step I will contact my Congressman after the Feb dates are released and we are still current. Do you know if it makes more sense to approach Congressman or Senator for this ? Also should I approach only 1 rep like 1 Congressman or approach both my district congressman and 2 state senators ?
We are even more screwed because since our dates are current we can not even get 2 Yr EAD or 3 yr H1 extension but you have to renew both annually.
Please share your experiences.

I was saying all those things if the reason was money. If that is not the case then I am wrong, I am not an expert in suggesting different lawyer.
I have no issues giving the lawyer what ever they want, if I can be assured that I will be getting good service for what I paid . If the law firm has a history of delays & screw ups etc, I do not see a reason why we have to pay hefty fees to get screwed in the end. There are a lot of stories where people have been screwed due to paralegal mistakes. We have waited so many years and I would like to control my destiny at least now. People have different opinions. Thats just how I feel.
Every one is talking about potential RFE's and seeking lawyers help in that case. What will any one do if they an free RFE after180 days of receipt notice and you are no longer with the company? What kind of RFE's are people getting if they are using EAD instead of H1B? Do they get any in the first place? Can some one who has been on EAD and received RFE's shed some light?

This is my first post. I had filed 485/140 in Aug. 2007. 140 got approved this March 2008. I donot have pay stub for last 3 months. I am looking for change. My labor is a substituted one( PD 2004). It has skills mentioned of Oracle EBS. I am working on Java/J2EE. I am looking for a new Job with Java/J2EE skills. I am worried that my new offer letter with Java skills mentioned would create a problem for me.
Please Gurus, can you advice me as to whether I can do that? Will staying on bench create a problem, as I donot get salary on bench.

Can you please let me know if you applied for AP online and what supporting documents you had mailed.
Applied for EAD on Aug 30th, Receipt notice was on Sep 3rd and Got email yesterday saying card production ordered. Nebraska Service center.
Now waiting for AP to be approved. Applied on Aug 30th. Receipt notice on 3rd Sep, LUD on 10th Sep.. Texas service center. Thinking it should not be long.

We are like beggars in this country. This country and its people do not want us here and are doing everything permissible under law to throw us out of here (if no law then they just make one up).
But we are such suckers that we do not want to leave this country and go back home. Gandhi fought to get rid of white masters but we were destined to serve one anyway. I don't understand why I don't live in my own country and contribute to its economy. Why am I tolling so hard to live here? I don't know when will my hard head understand this silly concept.
The reason is...probably we are not toiling that hard....As long as one has a paying job, things go reasonably smooth.....and we dont toil as much as it is made out to be.
The issue comes only when one loses the job...and had to play catch-up with immigration to keep us in status.
That is also the reason why you don't get mass participation in legal immigration activities.
I presume people are just happy with the status-quo! They think of going that extra length only when that status quo gets disrupted..

It's bad enough doing AP and EAD renewals yearly, not to mention the 3 times I had to get H1-B stampings. I refuse to apply for a visa just to go through an airport. Next time I will take a direct flight to avoid these ad-hoc EU rule changes. Again thanks for your patience and promptness in helping others.
