I'm wondering if these figures actually provide ammo for people who claim that H1b is driving down salary. A $50k median starting and a $60k median is not that great.

So What Happens To His/her Gc Process.

Last time I had travelled by British Airways in 2004 and I have made a resoultion for never tavelling with them again. We had a baby 2 years old and he was cranky and my wife asked airhostess to clean the feeder and she refused, saying that 'Mam we don't do this!'. Point is that they don't treat us well even though they get lot of income on routes to India. Also, look at those crappy old planes they deploy on these routes. As someone else said in this thread that it is time for Indian Govt. to wake up and be stiff on such lapses. I am sure they will listen, as they can't afford to lose big bucks coming from India anymore.
You are asking for too much. Any reason why you or your wife could not clean the feeder? They are air-hostesses and not your personal servants.

Hi, Both my wife's and my approval notices state a WAC number. And I am stuck in PIMS for past 27 days now!!!!!!!!:mad:
Email AILF about this. this is not acceptable. I have already mailed a letter to AILF since my attorney advised me to do so. We need to make them aware that this new PIMS system is causing hardship for many of us.

Vonage was just responding to the competition.
Lingo has a world plan which included unlimited calling to 30 countries( India not included)
India calls were just 2 cents per minute. I switched to Lingo from Vonage 2 months back. Sensing this mass exodus, vonage came up with an even more aggressive plan.

I-94s are submitted at the airport when you leave the country. In many cases there are no I-94s coz they have been submitted and no one thought of making copies of them before travelling out of country. I am sure I dont have all the I-94s that I ever used. I submitted them at the airport when I went out and didnt make copies.
I think it must be ok if you dont have all of them. Can anyone advise if that's the case?
My lawyer only asked for copy of latest I94.
She may have copies of some of my I94s in my file from previous H1 filings , but I am sure she does not have all my I94 copies. I guess only the latest I94 is required.

There are two waves of movement going to happen for EB2 this year. One starting in May and the other starting in July.
The 12000 unused visa numbers from EB1 is not the total for the year 2011. It is almost certain that, this is the spillover from the first 2 quarters of 2011. Along with this, there are some numbers from EB2 ROW as well. The spillover will only get applied to all those countries which are retrogressed.
12000 visa numbers would move mathematically the dates to somewhere in Sept 2006 for India and China Eb2. The porting from EB3 to EB2 is still a factor, but that won't exceed more then 1500 (which are ready to be assigned visa).
In order to utilize these 12000 visa numbers, USCIS may possibly consider 15000 applicants so that they will get 12000 approvable, background check free and non-delayed cases.
So, i think for EB2 the dates could move to either Oct/Nov/Dec of 2006.

There was story of a man who used to beat his wife after coming back from work. Apparently he was frustrated with his boss and his wife was the victim of his frustration. He soon realized a remedy to his situation. He built an effigy of his boss and hid it in a safe & lonely place. Everyday after work he used to go there and beat and curse the shit out of that effigy. He could then return to his normal family life and continue to love his wife.

Finally, we got the approval emails for self & wife.
I had got an email from TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov last friday (09/17/2010) with the update below-
1: The review was complete
2: Visa numbers were requested 2 months ago and all security/prints are current
3: Files have been forwarded to officers for completion.
In my case the email to SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov helped a lot. They in turn sent an email to TSC.Ncscfollowup@dhs.gov to step up the processing.
As others have mentioned IV has played a big part throughout this journey. Thank you again.

I agree we might not always have hard evidence unlike the OP here. And lot of employers might be doing this. I have never faced this, yet. However, we have to act on it. The first step is to complain to the govt. Maybe if there are lot of complaints, govt will investigate and find the dirt, and fix it.
Another idea is to bring it to the attention of the job boards that discriminatory ads should not be posted. Lets give this a try.
To those effected, write to the govt if you are in a situation where you can.
Right but the here problem is that how to come up with written evidence of discrimination? These jerks do not send you an email "Hey, we do not consider EAD". Their pattern is generally as under.
You get an first email for their interest as your resume matches teh job
description and they want you to spit out everything in your reply
Say you have written " Authorized to work for Any employer in USA" for
work status, they do not communicate to have you spitted out specifics.
They call you. If you do not spit out, they would not go ahead. If you spit
out "EAD" smart ones do not even talk further and you find all
communication stopped. Now this is my own experience. Tell me how can
I convert this into "evidence of discrimination". Even if I have tape
recorded conversation, that guy did not utter any single word after I
spitted out "EAD"

I have got email from my lawyer too regarding the change in bulletin coming MONDAY. I am worried for my life again. Is this all worth it? Title of her mail is I-485 could be rejected in July. I am done with this damn life. I can't take it anymore.
I really feel like crying now. Sitting on h-4 for 4 years and now I see a ray of hope and that is squashed too. I don't think this is fair. This is just not fair. Why the hell in the first place they have to make it current? I feel bad for all of us.
How many hours, how much money, how much effort, feelings, aspirations, hope. so much was built on that one news and the days from then on. and today it is NOTHING. I am sick and tired of this life.
