Also out of the 65K H1 visas that were available since 2003, most of the Visas were consumed by the Big Indian companies.
Remember when Congress sent letters to the Big Indian companies, there was data related to how many companies applied for how many Visas.
AFAIK it was in the range of 25k-35k per year combined by all these companies that filed H1s .

Even Muslims in Gujarat have started realizing congress is good for nothing.Congress just makes promises that it never keeps up.Uses opportunistic politics.well of course you create opportunities that are helpful to people which will bring prosperity along with awareness.Increased awareness among masses means end to dynastic rule.So why keep up promises and shoot your self right?

I read the end and it was unfortunate. I was talking about visa number reservation where they can reserve visa numbers for us in the future years based on the previous mistake they did. The court can compel USCIS to give visa numbers but maybe not in the same year but in a period of several years where there can put the newly applied i-485's on hold.

What you have mentioned is the only good thing Mr. Backstabbing Naidu did. rest of AP is like Hell except Hyd... Govt employees pensions on the edge to be removed... Power charges increased 600% .. Imagine the situation 3 countries supplying 90% of required labor and rest of the world 10%... This 7% limit screws things there. If US can find laboe "Equally" from every hemisphere and evry country.. 7% limit will work without a question. Otehrwise it would not work and hurt the economy badly.

Schools are open to everyone within their respective distances, tamils conduct business same as muslims and sinhala. What you're discussing is something that happened when the country was given independance and the sinhala policy came into act. I am EB3-ROW with PD of Feb 2006. My I-140 (filed as systems analyst) is approved and I filed my I4285 in Aug 16, 2007 (RD). I have approved EAD and AP good until Nov 21, 2008. I have been offered a job as Director of Software Development at another company in the same state. Because my I-485 has been pending for over 180 days I'm assuming I should be able to take the job under AC21. The new job seems a natural progression to my career (a promotion of course) but the USCIS has not issued definite guidelines on how to define a "similar" job. What's your advice on this? Should I take the job?

USA was like that for past 100 years. Many times Protectionist bills were passed and many times they were relaxed in past. There will be impacts but it will not bring down the country just because they block a few thousand H1bs. If USA needs to go down there should be some other alternative country should come up relative to that level. India and china have a potential but nowhere near to that for now as they so much dependent on USA and dollar.

My EB2 PD is Octo'2005 & receipt date of I-485 is Aug'17 2007 (receipt date on the receipt received from USCIS)-filed at NSC(although online it shows first Aug'2007 & now October'2007). NSC online update shows Aug 10'2007. What are the chances that my application will be processed in Aug'2008? I received a soft LUD on 07/03/2008 on my I-485/ead/travel document but nothing after that.

When some of us raised the issue of project managers from Indian IT companies applying under EB1 and using up those visas which would trickle over to EB2 and EB3, we were scoffed at. Some even questioned as to why these people cannot apply under "Multi-national executive" category, as they are "Multi-national" managers.
These guys misrepresent the number of people reporting to them (same managers in the same portfolio uses the same number of people to show in the application as reporting to them. This is true "reuse"), also "reuse" the portfolio value (how can 3-4 managers from the same client account be responsible for x million dollar business) and crooked company attorneys make up a stellar resume and case to file for them. The attorney pay comes from the employee's pocket.
Otherwise how would you explain the sudden rise in EB1 filings and a quota which never used to be over in previous years suddenly has cut-off dates.
If we keep quiet, these same clowns will use up all the visas and smirk at us for filing in the "lower" categories. What a backdoor to a green card! :mad:

Can USCIS face legal challenges on this? It was just a memo, no law has been changed by the Government; the laws are just the same they were when they let it about a million people or so through these IT consulting companies.
Now they go back and say that was a misinterpretation of existing laws :eek:
