There is nothing called h1b jobs. There is no job reserved for someone on h1b. So to say that people on l1 are taking h1b jobs is kind of funny.
At the same time, that anti-immigrant l1fraud is here to scare people and is against the community. But because most people here are not on L1, so most people are agreeing with l1fraud user. As if L1 folks are getting ahead of us, and L1 folks are taking our jobs, same mentality and outlook as that of the disgruntled programmers at programmers guild. Maybe there is nothing wrong about that because, humans as species have always behaved as part of the food chain, eating and living on the ones below us. Likewise, people here just want to blame someone else for their problems, including delay in GCs, on others on L1. So the entire focus of this thread is "l1fraud". From time to time, some anti-immigrant or someone from another site come in and divide people here without much of an effort, that we are just a bunch of losers, yes that's right, people who play into the hands of anti-immigrants and people who play into the designs of the agents of other agenda's are nothing but losers. Is there some master list of companies that have been filed against ? Do you know of anyone on this list that have done so and won ?
What will that accomplish really ? I dont know if working for this place will be a good idea anyway after filing a suit against them... but OTOH if it helps other people or at least if its out there on the net, so other companies wont get his brilliant idea....

The flower campaign has been a spectacular success. Lets not dilute it or confuse it with food or pizza campaign. Lets the free flow of flower campaign contunue.

I am surprised to see the list compiled by Sanjay b that all the pendig applications are received in the same time frame and received by J. Barrett. Do you guys think this package of applications is mispalced or something?
CADude and others... maybe your efforts are paying off. What I learned in this process is that have faith in your application filing. If everything is fine you'll definitely get the receipts. It may be either next week or in 2 weeks.
Couple of things...
1) Calling USCIS is useless...
2) Look for checks for cashed....
3) Keep in touch with our pending group. I gives you support and motivation.

EB3-I can benefit only if per country cap is removed. Can IV do something to get this done as part of Admin Fix? Otherwise EB3-I will rot in 2001/2002 for next 3 more years.

This is the note I send them when I m in the call and Prakash noticed this and read this on the call . I m happy that major issue got noticed because there are lot of questions which are not related to receipt delays
Just to answer your question . Most callers are July 2nd applications who have not received the receipts ..where as others who filed in August are receving EAD's . This is why we are here . We can send n examples regarding this

Good news for your guys. I am EB3 but recently my labor got approved in EB2 and very soon I am going to port PD from old labor. :DHa..:Dha..:Dha..You can�t stop me and very soon I am going to stand in front of you in EB line.

No need to worry.
People write letters all the time to the president and first lady, FBI, USCIS, etc etc when they are stuck in namechecks.
The thing is why should be force ourselves to write letters when we are in deep sh** like namechecks ourselves.
Why can't we do it when we can do it as a large group of people and not being selfish for once. I think this is our chance to stop being a lone voice when nobody hears us. In this campaign we can show how important our issue is and how desperately we want it to be fixed.
BTW I am going to post a handwritten letter. I have heard it works better.

in mumbai, also you need to enter the details of petition online (petition number, expiry date and petitioner name) while booking appointment.. and you need to submit all documents before 5 working days.. (in some cases they mention 3 working days)

Don't know if anyone noticed but Mr. Emilio's statement nowhere indicates any acknowledgement of the hardships caused by the fiasco. If he (and USCIS) knows about "flowers", I am sure USCIS knows about the scramble, hardships and frustration caused by the fiasco. A simple acknowledgement through something like " ....while we regret unintended consequences of following our internal procedures, we have made arrangements to forward the flowers to ..." would have demonstrated leadership or honesty of intent which I guess is in short supply

2) I didn't realize this until this evening when I mentioned the whole flower thing to my wife and she reminded me that government officials and agencies aren't meant to accept gifts from anyone. I believe this may have been considered a gift, or at least a grey area and perhaps they believed that discretion was the better part of valor.
I work for a government department, not as a State employee but as a vendor, and they aren�t allowed to accept anything from us that may be construed as a gift. Even when we have our annual golf days, ours are paid for by the vendor company but the State is forced to pay for themselves.
