The people who wants to be a part of American Society should first definately be a very open minded towards all cultures and social trends.
Other thing to be Indian or representing Indian traditions is not a crime but certainly every time barking against anything Indian may certainly be a crime as it is a clear indication of closed door or prejudicial mind towards one particular country and culture. Americans do not mind if one shows that he is Indian now and want to become in American future. Although they prefer that AND that is why they label Jindal as Indian-American although he born in USA. If there are majority Indians on IV board, it is not a crime but it is obvious. Some of my chienese friends on IV board may start thread for wishing chienese festival, I bet most Indians on this board will welcome and same goes with Muslim friends on IV board. Starting and wishing ED MUBARAK thread (By the way that is also a Indian tradition..And I am proud of that too) is not a crime and by now if nobody started it does not mean other people may not welcome it. If you are a Muslim, start the thread for ED Mubarak, I will be the first to welcome that step. You want to be American,, right? Then first start learning open mind and start respecting the culture of majority IV memebers first. If you would not start that now how will you settle yourself in cultural pot of the world?
If you are an Indian citizen right now take control over your inferiority complex and get over it because if you do not respect your culture or your tradition what guaranty would be there for Americans that you would respect American traditions in future. I do have the Employer and Attorney details. I searched based on that. Reg, case number, which case number we have to use, the backlog center number or any other number? I do have a copy of the approval letter received from backlog center.

Its been 2 months since I am in US and I have been working since last month i.e. as of now I have only 1 paystub.
Will this be enough for her H4 stamping in INDIA.

Yes, my Bachelor and Master's are in same/related discipline. I think you can use any education evaluator but make sure that are aware of Indian Education System. We have responded to the RFE. I will post the outcome for the benefit for all.

It will be intersting to see how Indian Economy will flare, which is essantially driven by Outsourcing, which will take the greatest hit.
Remember Indian Economy's engine is outsourcing, once it starts to see the $ exchange pressure, forget about people coming to US, think of what will happen to standard of lving in Inida.
Can India still maintain the new glow with dollar coming down , I doubt as the Govt of India has not made any big steps to make permanent changes to infrastructure set up.

Hi All,
I filed my I485 in 08/05 and my labor date is 07/05 in perm. My I140 got approved in 2007.
I was in bench for around 6 months in 2008 starting from Jan 1st to 06/20th. I took full time position in last week of 06/08 and continuing in the same job. I got RFE on my I485 and asked for employment verification in 12/09. My attorney replied with presnt employment letter and applied for AC21 also at the same time. Now i got another RFE asking for last 5 years employment letter, w-2 forms and tax returns.
Can some one please let me know how i can handle the period that i was in bench in 2008.

Follow the advise of your lawyer.
Following is my take on this (I am not a lawyer):
- I dont think you need to have "continuous employment". (I am assuming that you were not any employement visa (H1) during the "bench period"
- You already have EVL letter that states that "a permanent job -same or similar- is ready for you once you get your GC"--that is your AC21
- Your 485 was filed way before "bench period".
- During the bench period if you were only with "pending 485 authorized period of stay" (ie. not on H visa), you were not "required" to maintain employment any way. (If you were on any employment visa, you are out of status during that period).
So my advise: Just submit all the documents related to your employment history. Do not lie or falsify any information. You will be just fine.
Again, this is just my opinion. Follow the lawyer's advise.

There will be no movement in May bulletin, but June bulletin will be Jan 1 2006 for EB2. I'm guessing this based on last 3 years, where there was no movement in May but had significant jump every June.

I know a EB2 India application (obviously not mine) that was approved after this July fiasco and no where I could find his PD date current in those previous months (except July where everyone was current). After this guy got his GC, I am convinced there is no "system" in place. It is all random and you can't really predict anything. :mad:

If I use my AP , what documents I need to carry? original 485 reciept? my original receipt is with lawer, he send me photocopy.
Its a good idea to have an original 485 receipt, but in my case, they did not ask for it and didnt see it. Not even photocopy.
Nonetheless ask your lawyer for 485 receipt and they should give you that. There is no reason for them to keep the original with themselves, they can keep the copy and give you original.
