Just curious, why would any one file again just because they did not get the receipt for the first one (unless there is a legitimate concern like no Fedex/currier tracking for the first one , change of conditions like have second/better LC etc)?
What guarantees the second one will be accepted ? Just improving the odds ? Then, why stop at filing two applications ??

My received date is July 3rd for 485, I140 approved July 18, notice date June 26, 07. for AC21, Is my safe date Dec 30th or Dec 31st. Should I be working on the 31st December for current(485) employer or I am safe today?

There will be severe consequences from rapid fluctuations in priority dates. If the priority date became current today, due to delayed USCIS processing and thus underutilization of visa numbers, some have predicted that within a few months as many as 500,000 to 750,000 individuals now residing in the United States under a temporary worker visa could apply for a green card. Additionally, DOL�s recent backlog elimination efforts, scheduled to be completed by September 30, 2007, are predicted to add 70,000 or more approved labor certifications yielding as many as 170,000 additional green card applications. As USCIS begins to complete these applications and request visa numbers from DOS, the 140,000 statutorily authorized visa numbers will be used. DOS then will be required to retrogress priority dates. I wonder what our children and grandchildren will learn from all these. When they grow up and know that their parents had to go through this mess while waiting to be accepted legally for xxxx number of years and some people got the "grand reward" of being illegal for many years!! As I read this analysis, they are suggesting that the single state limit is 25,620 - irrespective of whether the visas are issued in family or employment based. This suggests that a country with heavy family based demand, but light employment based demand, could use more than 7% of the EB or FB quota as long as they remained under 25,620 overall. This is wrong. The 7% limit applies independently to FB and EB. A country could have no demand in one area, and enormous demand in the other and the side with the excessive demand would still be limited to 7% of that quota - not 7% of the combined quota.

Just a quick update on AP Case- Today the e filed application got approved The total time it took is about 10 days from filing to approval.

Note: These details may be true. Last month we had heard such information but not in detail and thus had not posted it. We were hoping to get this news within 6-8 weeks (As per oour note on http://immigrationvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14749). There are efforts to make name checks current and that is good news for everyone waiting for several years in the namecheck blackhole. It will also help recent applicants who might be getting into this problem.

All officials and news coverage has talked about processing 60k visas in a month to avoid visas going waste. None clarifed to say the unused visas expire on 09/30 NOT 06/30.

31st is a working day for me, if 180th day is 31st than does the employer lose the ability to revoke 140 from the 31st or 1st?, Does it mean than USCIS should receive revokation request by 31st or that the request can be postmarked by the 180th day?

you mean there is no freedom in India??? 80-90% of the indians who have H1 have not attended college in US and do you think these people are not educated and knowledgeable. I think you should grow up man... or might be when you get sick and get admitted in hospital and your insurance doesn't cover... you realize the importance of India...
I am not commenting against the previous post or this one. But I personally feel there are some scariest things in US. One of them is lack of heath insurance, even if you have one, you are not 100% sure it protects you when you are in dire need. The cost is DAMN high. Costs your arms and legs.
The 2nd thing, if you are out of job for quite sometime, which itself is scary, on top of that, all your savings evaporate quickly.

The 2nd thing, if you are out of job for quite sometime, which itself is scary, on top of that, all your savings evaporate quickly.
