[QUOTE=belmontboy;326916]sure prove me wrong.
If you are telling me that VO or IO has access to all criminal records from all 51 states, i can't stop laughing here.
If they have access, why do they even have a section for declaring voluntarily?? to test honesty of the applicant??[/QUOTe..
I do not want to argue with you but can prove you wrong .. Give me your info and I will let u know if u have any records or not. Afet 9/11 all immigration systems are interconnected with the state and federal court records and minute one is arrested his name is there.. 100%...Talk to an attorney in the morning and pm me.. I will explain you how it works..
Let us not shift the focus from the original question and if we do not have any answer let's sit back and let the guy face the consequences and make it an argument to prove who is wrong and right between us..
I pray for you and hope you learn from your mistakes(not you belmont).. May God Bless you..

Guys if you compare the way people live and spend in India, I think they are more well off then we are. I know some friends here, all they do is, look for coupons. They’ll fight all day with Customer care reps for $1 extra that company charged, they don’t leave tips when they eat out and they eat out once in 6 months. Except for a Camry and a leather chair may be a better bed, what is this guy doing better than he would have done in India. Atleast there he had a ‘Kamwaali’ who did the cleaning for his family. He had a tutor who taught his daughter. Here in US all he’s doing is cleaning bathrooms, kitchen their his children ad driving his Camry.
Not only they are saving $1 by fighting with customer service rep to dispute the $1 admin fee on the phone bill or some other fake charge on credit card bill, they are also saving a lot of money by not contributing to Immigration Voice.
So combine all this:
1. Being cheap patrons at restaurant, not giving tips (buffet restaurants dont deserve tips according to the cheap indians).
2. Bringing stinky dinner for next day's lunch therby saving lunch money and not eating out with co-workers. Even more savings from potential situations where you have to tip.
3. Wearing sneakers instead of leather shoes on weekdays. Sneakers are cheaper than leather shoes and sometimes even look good with trousers and dress shirts.(yeah right...)
4. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY...BEING SMART ABOUT IMMIGRATION VOICE AND NOT CONTRIBUTING $20 per MONTH.
See, all this adds up to a fortune when you multiply dollars times 40 (or 43 or 38 whatever the heck the exchange rate is)..........................

Dear Friends,
Please stay together....we will get this permission.
If our parents stay in US, US economy will improved. We will be buying health insurance and food for them.
We will stop sending money to our native country. All money we earned will be spend here. We will be travelling more. Shopping more. etc.
This will help to improve US economy. I want to see US become super country like how it was when Bill Clinton was president.
We have a great present now. I was impressed by his speech about family value and raising kids together as family. I am sure, we will get help from him.
You know, How J2 visa holder got permission to work in US. A person fight for it and got it for many.
Don't bother about a negative persons comments here.
If we stay together, we will get this permission. Anyway, after you become citizen you got that permission. We can request gov to give permission to GC holders too.
Please call the White house and talk to President directly...May be we should be able to get this done by May 1st. Keep us updated.

He got the nomination after 2 weeks in the office (Feb, 2009 last date for the entry). It is too early for him. We never know how he perform for next 3 years. Award must give after seeing the real work. Not by the speech by the politicians.

So lets do the numbers. If 10,000 of us buy houses worth $300K.
Lets say, each make 20% downpayment.
10,000 * $ 60,000 = $ 600 Million (right away gets pumped into the market)
each pays mortgate of $2000 per month which makes by next year this time
10, 000 * $2000 * 12 = $240 Million.
So which this plan, for 1 year, we are helping the economy by $ 840 Million.
Hmm, Is that number sufficient enough for Berneke to even think about our plan?

So does this mean I am stuck with Company A till I get Garbage Can I mean GC ?
Searched on google and got the following info
MurthyDotCom : U.S. Immigration Law (http://www.murthy.com/chatlogs/ch121806_P.html)
Chat User : Thanks a lot in advance for the kind-hearted services,
Labor/I140 approved, got 3-yr extension after completing 6yrs of H-1. If I
change my employer now, can I get 3-yr extension, and can I keep my priority
date even if my employer cancels I-I40?
Attorney Murthy : Based on the current understanding of the law and
the USCIS interpretations, one is allowed to file for a 3-year H1B with a
new employer based on the I-140 petition with another employer. Also, the
person should be able to retain the earlier PD unless the USCIS believes
that there was some sort of fraud. We have seen them grant the earlier PD in
most cases, even after the earlier employer revokes or cancels the
previously-approved I-140 petition. Many employers nowadays are choosing not
to pursue revoking the I-140 petition, especially if the employee paid for
the processing.
http://www..com/greencard/employmentbasedimmigration/i-140-premium-processing.html
Job Change - Transfer of Original Priority Date
This is not related to AC21 portability. This is very useful in a case you are planning to change jobs or you fear that your employer may be thinking about laying you off or firing you.
If the person has an approved I-140, but I-485 is not filed during priority date not being current, and decides to change the job, either with the same employer for a different job or with a new employer in a new position, the green card case would have to be started all over again, including labor certification(if required), I-140 and I-485 (or consular processing). However, if the person had an approved I-140 from the previous job, it is possible to request to retain the priority date in a new I-140 petition.
You can change jobs when I140 is approved and I485 not filed but the new employer will have to start GC process from scratch, but you can retain old PD. You can also check with attorney if you are still doubtful.
Cheers and Happy new year :)

Please advise. Thanks!

Few things to add:
3) To protect your familiy, think of the 3 areas: Death, disability and illness. Dying is the easy part...you die, your family gets a lump sum. The worst is that you DON'T die, but have a terminal illness (e.g. cancer), have no job and then incur substantial medical bills. Remember to cover all areas.
Fittan
Fittan,
Do you know any best long term disability insurance for reasonable price to cover income?

Immigration is one of the very few issues the President and the Dems agree on. It would be good if this issue gets addressed as early as possible (part of building good faith) before they go back to pointing knives at each other. Which is bound to happen once Dems set up inquiry committees.

Tell me about it. My wife didn't have a fancy law degree but she had a decent job before we got married and she came to US. She doesn't have any specific skills that will qualify her H1b but she has a MBA. So there isn't much she can do in terms of furthering her education. So she's been stuck at home for the last 4 years.
I have been now for 7 years and still waiting... my wife who graudated law with top honors in a top university in india and was pracicing with a leading corporate law firm joined me in US and to make it good we spent around $65K on her law school graduation here and then another 15K on bar exams preparations for NY and CA. She managed to pull through all this. we decided to have a baby and take care of her wihtout day care the 1st 2years. now my wife sits home since she cannot file a H1 though there are willing employers becuase she has stayed here for 6 years on h4 and my llabor filed 2001 was still in BEC.... what can i do... i left a Director job in fortune 50 company and joined as consultant so that i can make use of a pre-approved labor, then another regression happend and i am still waiting to file 485. I just want to let my wife to work for a couple of year and make use of the effort she spent in her US law school and bar exams and want to return back to India.... but when can i get that 2 years.....

Any deliveries made yet? Whats the impact? Did it work?
We have a few people making their way to USCIS - so we should know in sometime.
Actually when I say a few, there are probably only 3 or 4. Even after working the phones, emails and private messages, we could not get too many DC area members to help out.
If I have one regret for this campaign it is that I should have booked my flight tickets to DC - it would have been just so exciting to have such a good opportunity to voice our issues and concerns.
