I do not think you understood the meaning of my words correctly.
If you are a friend of YSR, you won't find a better friend than him and he will go out of way to help you. If you are his enemy, be prepared for consequences. This is also the motto of US Army and its origin is attributed to what a famous roman general once said of himself.

YSR is a very successfull CM. He delivered what mattered most to the poor people. Some other states like Tamilnadu are introducing some of his schemes like Rajiv arogyashree. More than 30 people died after learning that he is dead. Very few people can inspire that kind of reverence and affection. He may have his short comings but he achieved more than most can dream of.
It is silly to quote corruption every time you discuss politicians. Show me any major politician of consequence who did not face corruption charges at some time or the other. It is always present in one form or the other since the beginning of politics. We are all watching what is happening with healthcare reform bill here and how powerfull insurance industry is influencing it's outcome.
And who is making these allegations? Surprise, opposition parties and some sections of media that are opposed to him.
His death is definitely a loss to the state. We need competition among politicians and that competition existed between YSR and Babu and I like both of them. Between the two, I think AP progressed overall.
This thought of submission is exactly what has always pulled India back from moving forward. That unless you are corrupt you are not normal. Speaking out against corruption is abnormality for us. Dear Attorney,
I have an approved H1B petition, but was given 221(g) during consular interview due to lack of license to practice my proffession in US. They instructed me to submit the license within one year to stamp the H1B visa.
Now I am comming to US on a Visitors visa to write the licensing exam and to get licenced.
I am aware of the aware of possibility of changing status from Visitors visa to H1B after getting licence without leaving US, since I already have an approved
H1B.
But I came to know that USCIS will take around 90 days to approve status change from Visitors visa to H1B.
Kindly clarify whether I can start working for my H1B employer immediately after filing status change with USCIS, or do I need to wait till the approval, to start working.
Also do I need to include 221(g) I received after my H1B consulate interveiw for the status change application.

I just want to point out that whether or not your company helps offset these costs is immaterial at this point. This is money that has gone down the drain. Depending on the Oct. Visa Bulletin, you, or your employer may have to incur the same expenses all over again. So in the end, you may end up spending more than twice the amount of money, and more in application fees.

None of the FEES has been accepted by USCIS as they even did not accept the petition. So the fees cannot be calculated. Need to find out, what they will do for July 2nd filers

Yes, the fees gets revised start July 30. But you need NOT pay again and again to extend EAD/AP, if requried under new fees. Need to calculate the difference. Also not sure if the Attorney's would charge twice as they have to resubmit the paper with little or no modification.

Also per my attorney Medical Examination Reports are valid for a year, If we apply within a year, this is also not lost. My point is not to discourage any one, but when we wirte to media, they will investigate all before they publish to main stream. People can not expect to be treated special because they are charming to some group or more. There are hell a lot of people with special talent and each and every one expecting to be treated in a special way...then there is no need for that procedure. If SRK is started crying when the common people going through the ordeal...well thats makes the difference between the real start and a moron.

If you want to be gentle - You can say that you have done it in the past and quit...
If you want to scare them - you can also add I quit because I got an audit from IRS and USCIS as it is illegal on non-immigrant visa....that will scare the hell outta them...

He said since India is young country it needs gentle intervention from state to get rid of the existing social-economic disparities. His formula resulted in bureaucratic bottlenecks, red tape, widened existing socio-economic disparities ,gave rise to mafia culture and the list goes on making Nehruvian socialism synonymous to failure in Indian dictionary.His dynastic descendants tried to push it under carpet as long as they could .Result: we see people thinking Nehru was a visionary.
Our own Intelligent MMS in 90's named Nehruviain Socialism a failure before he opened the reforms in the market.It is said that when P.V/MMS duo took charge they found that country's foreign exchanges reserves couldn't last for 24 hours.

India is a victim of its own diversity and long/old (and strong) regional history. This diversity includes language, tradition, culture, food habit, religion, caste and so on. Therefore, India is victim of its own division and diversity. India is untied or born in 1947 because of British rule. Infact, there is no country called Republic of India before 1947. Indian constitution (or concept of united India) is brand new compare to regional history. Naturally, regional interest always prevails. So ruling India is still a new and uphill task. 60 years is very less to come to conclusion. Thats why, all congress PMs had failed in reforms. And now in the information age, India become materialistic, everybody wants everything. So naturally corruption increases. So one can not blame just congress alone for the mess.

I have been granted a PR last week; Now, I am waiting for the card to arrive in the mail. I will be traveling out of USA next weekend. I renewed my H1 once since my last entry and have one white I-94 and other one came with the 797 approval notice. Do I need to give my I-94 to the airline staff or should I keep it with me? Please advice.

Let us form a new group and we will definitely get moral support from all good IV members. Personally I dont want to be plaintiff as I have too much to loose. But I support your group. Waiting for your direction.
I am willing to contribute $10 to get solid legal advice on this and I am willing to contribute a lot more in a lawsuit IF and ONLY IF there is a strong legal basis for it. I have voted NO on the poll, I would prefer we take a more conciliatory approach to USCIS. As the saying goes "You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar." Having said that, if IV were to go ahead with the lawsuit, I could be counted on to contribute financially.

If we those who have worked here, paid taxes , abided the law, followed the law of land once we return from India many of us have been questioned. Though as per us nothing might have changed like employer, salary, position, residential address etc etc... still many of our friends are detainted and asked to proved documental proof....{If we who have stayed here for years are detained} then why not SRK or any other person.....
After staying here for 9 years, I was detained in 2007 for 1 hour for questioning.....that way US has more proof about me for past 9 years then SRK or any other Indian bollywood stars....

Here is some good material or ways to get the point across.

But tamil is a age old language so tamils were one of the earliest clan too.
Only way a co-existence could be established is by the world exerting pressure on lanka to
treat tamils as brothers. If tamils existing there are citizens (granted by lanka), then why the inequality in rights. These armed groups only spring into existence because of suppression or power greed. Earlier times it was suppression, later it became power greed which killed the cause. Peaceful protests are always watched and will be supported by world. With technology in hand, (post LTTE) tamils could show to the world that they have a peaceful fight at hand.

If we are trying to quote facts here then myths also come into play. Remember the ramayana when ravana was ruling srilanka. Who were those in Srilanka at that time ? Were they tamils ? No. If that can be accepted true then natives of srilanka should not be tamils. We dont know that time of ramayana tamils were a clan that even existed. But tamil is a age old language so tamils were one of the earliest clan too.
Only way a co-existence could be established is by the world exerting pressure on lanka to
treat tamils as brothers. If tamils existing there are citizens (granted by lanka), then why the inequality in rights. These armed groups only spring into existence because of suppression or power greed. Earlier times it was suppression, later it became power greed which killed the cause. Peaceful protests are always watched and will be supported by world. With technology in hand, (post LTTE) tamils could show to the world that they have a peaceful fight at hand.

Circus123 & Bestia thanks 4 the quik answers to my first post on this site; By now I just read & learned a lot from this site about GC process.Now it's time to take action because we have a PD current.
I just wanna be sure about the dates 'cause I cannot rely on my layer 100% because last year he insisted on completing our files 4 GC but he "forgot" 2 mention that our PD is nou current yet!!!
We'll send the cheques tomorrow!
I can hardly wait to get my EAD so I can apply 4 a decent job!!!!!!
Any idea if it takes longer than 90 days?

I would suggest using your own checks for I-485. This way, once USCIS will cash your checks, and if you have online banking - you will see the receipt numbers on the back of the checks. This way you will be able to see your application status right away. It was very critical (at least for me) during June/July tsunami of applications, as I received the actual receipt pretty late.
Also, don't count on that EAD, it will be safe to invoke AC21 only after 180 days and having approved I-140. You have good chance to have your AOS adjudicated. In this case you will have to stay with your current employer for at least another 6 months. If you will leave before 180 days and your GC will be approved, then AC21 will not apply and your GC will be revoked.
I also learned a lot on IV :)

America is about freedom and liberty and is a law abiding country. Country caps is discrimination with people of two countries which have almost half of the population in the world. I am not saying increase visas for India or China. I am only saying increase the total number of visas and then make the system FIFO so that every skilled person in this world have same access to immigration.

The counter argument to this statement is that when I was hired I was told that it would take 2-3 years to get the Green Card and then you can live in this country. I made certain investments, commitments in this country based on this fact. Now either I stay here as slave or loose on all those things that I did thinking that I will stay in this country forever or for next 10-15 yrs. Some of the problems that tied me to this country are :
1) Buying a house
2) Child education : Child cannot go back to home country and countinue education due to language of instruction.
3) Immovable Investments like 401K and not investing in my own country e.g. PF in India.
4) Making life insurances. I am too old to take a new life insurance as the premium will be too high and I cannot afford to pay my current life insurance as US as it would be difficult to them with my earnings in the home country.
And the list can go on and on. There are the things that habe tied me and I am no longer free to leave. If would have know earlier that the GC will take 10 years I would have not bought a house, left US before my kid started school, might have took a life insurance in home country etc. In fact same argument prevails that why were the dates made current last July. That send a wrong message and people made more investments.

The correct description of the situation is - you are imposing slavery upon yourself and asking for remedy from the government. Isn't that correct? so you are saying your benefits are not worth $12000? Then whose mistake is it that you parted with it?
From the day I came to this country , I have spent around $12,000 on immigration including H1-Bs, filing GC, APs, EADs extra. Not to mention the traveling for visa stamps and whole other shit load of expenses. I guess most of people who paid for filing GC did spent same amount of money.
Hell ya, Some one got to be benefiting from my $12000.

You can renew your permanent resident card only if you lived in canada for atleast 2 years in 5 years. And to get the card, you need to get a guarantor signature who knows you for atleast 2 years e.g. a physician, attorney, etc
If you dont have guarantor - you can use any public notary - not a big deal . they 'll sign your PR Card application for $60 Canadian per application - This is only for people who are already a landed immigrant and do not have a plastic PR Card. You can also keep traveling to Canada without a Plastic PR Card ( for your US visa renewals etc. ) but in your own car only. But the max limit is 3 years from the date you have first landed - You must start maintaining your residence in Canada with in these 3 years before your residency becomes invalid.
