I am on a h1b currently. I changed empoyers in the US but the old stamp is still valid till semptember 2008. I has taken a visa date for jan30 in mumbai consulate and was going to fly back on feb9. Now planning to cancel the visa stamping because of the PIMS delays. I hope i am still valid to fly as i have a valid visa stamp and a new petition from current employer too which i can show at port of entry. Do let me know your views on the same and if there are any probable issues....
You should be fine. You don't need to go for stamping if you are travelling before ur visa expiry.

I belive ultimately all the big phone service providers like Reliance, Airtel and Tata will reduce the calling rates to match/beat VOIP providers like Vonage.
This will be the saving grace to keep down the telephone expenses.

Sammy boy is the newest supreme court Judge. He won by a 58-42 vote. (well, there are some votes where all 100 senators do show up and vote).
Anyways, this clears the way for next items on Senate's agenda. Immigration is one of them. Unless the hearings on NSA wiretaps take too much time and energy out of the Senate Judiciary committee. Hopefully they wont come in the way of immigration reform.

In reality How USCIS divide 28.6% among countires - That is unknown mystery and nobody surely know that. And that is why I had to assume "equal shares - 5 part" in my analysis assuming USCIS works fairly but we all know that is a bullshit too :)
Look at histrocial approval you will know your assumption is incorrect. ROW gets more than half the numbers in any category.

I am speaking from experience. Download the forms needed for filing 485, EAD and AP. Then when your attorney send you his/her set ( normally they do this in 2 stages - one they will send you a draft copy to verify and correct all info - some have online questionnaire; stage two - they send the final forms for you to verify and sign again - this they may do paper copy or online PDF - that cannot be edited - not fill able forms).
So, here I am providing links to all forms that I know are needed. These from uscis.gov site are fill able. Weekend is coming. Fill them, and print and keep them.

When you want to join vonage or customer you will have good exp. Try to cancel or select the option to cancel and see.
I signed up online after one my friend referred me to this plan but unfortunately I have not used their referral link. I called customer service after getting my phone and told them my friend's number and they are saying that since I did not go through the right link, we both won't get the $49 until after I complete the 3 months. And I won't get it if I forget to call them after 3 months. I am wondering if I should cancel and send them back the router and order online through the referral link.

I dont see any improvement at chennai.I contacted consulate after 7 working days (after interview) and got reply to allow another 4 work days.
Consulate has handed over the passport to VFS on Jan 2nd and VFS has dispatched on the same day.I would be receiving that today.

In "Truth, Fiction and Lou Dobbs" by DAVID LEONHARDT writes about the latest controversy about Lou Dobb's "reporting" on immigration that came to light on a �60 Minutes� segment profiling Dobbs a few weeks ago. According to Leonhardt,

I understand. For an analogy consider theft. You might not know who did it but you lodge a complaint with the police. Its their job to investigate. Sometimes they are successful, sometimes they are not.
In this case if the govt gets lot of complaints, and find a pattern they will investigate and find the dirt.
All I and a few others are saying, discriminating EADs is illegal, and there is a govt. agency to deal with these things. So, if anybody is a victim contact the govt. agency. By being quite we are not helping ourselves.

I just called USCIS using POJ method. Nice IO . She took time listening BUT same darn response.
I had opened a service request on 9/8 . I recieved a letter stating to wait for 6 months.
IO told me ,all the name check, FP are cleared. No RFE.
Since SR is open, wait for 6 months.
well, thats my story.

Are getting succeded in two ways
1. Bill is getting passed
2. Dividing the immigrent family into narrow tiny pieces...
If you wants to protest against L1 they will do the same with US...
Guess what they can lobby more than us.. they invest more than us... you are talking about the gaints companies.
Stop fussing about L1 and start disscussing about the billl
This is what I did I sent the bill text to my friends (L1 and H1) and explaning them that this Bill is equally bad for us both and let their employer knows and act against to it...

Well..congratulations indeed. After you interview, did you do open a SR, take InfoPass or talk to IO on phone about your case status?
We are still waiting here and wondering what can we do to nudge the process.

This info is for the cases who had the interview local USCIS offices where they live.
After interview ,pls take info pass for every 2 or 3 weeks and when you meet infopass officer, please fill up one yellow form (this form used to send any request to any other department who handled 485 cases.) to adjudicate your case.Make sure you give your i-485 copies and i-140 copies, You can write at least 5 or 6 sentences at the end of the yellow form to supervisor epalining when u r intervew is completed ,,u r PD is current etc etc.
The way it works like this :
The dept that takes care i-485 interviews is different from the dept infopass officers in local office.Even though they are in same office, the only way infopass officers can send request the 485 dept is using the yellow form..Pls request for it. Then most of the times info pass officer fils up the form and you will add any additional info at the end of the form. Then infopass officer will send the form to 485 dept supervisor.Supervisor will see the yellow form..if you are lucky he/she wil take action imediatly..otherwise go again after 2 weeks..Request the info pass officer twice or thrice..
This helped me...
