Me and my wife had done finger printing on 09/10. On 09/15my wife got the clearnace from FBI and it is loaded into the system. I went to local immigration office and they did some searched and they told me that FBI loaded my finger printing detail using my social security number and not by the A number. Local IO can see the finger printing but when I called the Texas office they said they can't see the FP detail, and i tried again after some time got hold of another IO and she was able to search by my first and last name and saw in the system.
I opened an SR got a response that my FP is not received from FBI. So confusion is some IO officer who is trying other option to do search are able to see but not all the IO and that is delaying my approval process.
Any help or suggestion will be appreciated

If you loose your job anytime during the GC process and cannot find another job within 15 days you must leave the country. Since you are fired from the job you are least desired, you are an unproductive hole. This should be tied along with EB2/EB3 category determination so you realy value the right people.

People go by "how the wind flows" - when they just see a few of us stressing out they think they must not do anything - simply because they think wind is not blowing. Unless people believe in themselves and have the capabilities to make right choices and independent decisions, they will always be influenced by "negative flow". This is something we have always been facing in the community.
Every member and a guest must take these efforts seriously. Make your own wise judgement and not get influenced by negative flow. The negative community can pull you down big time, they have the capacity to destroy themselves and the entire community. Laziness seems to be the major cause for the negative energy and it will be interesting if people have any other excuses

i landed here in 2000 my priority date is 2006 because of useless employers . dont think that everybody sailing in the same boat as urs.

I am a silent visitor of this website.
Just my 2 cents... Don't think USA is like India where you can do something forcefully. Why don't you guys understand the real problem of USCIS.
Do you think that by sending flower to USCIS will force them to make EB2/EB3 current for 2005/2006/2007 guys??
Please try to understand their problem.
Also India is the great. Why don't you guys just think that India is your home country where you are born and brought up. Why you people can't just wait and watch?? If nothing happens to the so called GC, then why don't you think to pack up and go back to India???????
My sincere request, please don't do rally, you might be arrested......you never know what they can do..... Don't you think that, it is better to go back to India rather than being embarrassed here in US???

You definitely sound like my mother , who gets scared by the news that gets published in telugu news papers about gas station shootings in USA. Otherday she asked me not to goto "that gas station in Kentucky" .. I live in CA.
There is no shame in protesting injustice. Nobody who sent flowers is foolish enough to think that they will get their GC just because they sent flowers.

In filing for I-485 no one has mentioned copy of I-140 or copy of Labor cert.
My question is how does USCIS tally an AOS application to an already approved I-140 or labor certifcation and find out the PD for the application?
If you read the instructions, it states clearly that you need to proivde a copy of your approved immigrant petition.

A new technique reqruiters are using is
"Hey, I am OK with EAD, it is just this particular client of mine who is not and I tried to educate this client but they do not listen. I tried placing another guy on EAD at this client but they rejected because of EAD and I placed so many people on EAD in other clients. So I hear you. Good luck with other jobs."
I still think it is some notorous reqruiters who apply the EAD filter. They do not want to deal with a lot of resumes and they want to apply that filter.

Why is everybody so happy? He has just briefly and curtly informed in the message that flowers will be forwarded. They won't be sitting on my desk and embarrasing me. There is no acknowledgement of the issue or any empathy or compassion with the sufferers. Now even the press coverage will make USCIS director look good. I don't see what's the positive development here.

Green card applicants were given hope on June 12, when the State Department posted a bulletin offering H1B visa holders who had been stuck in a bureaucratic logjam an opportunity to take that last step needed to apply for permanent residency.
Thousands of engineers, doctors and other educated foreigners began a mad scramble to file their applications before the July 2 deadline.
Vacations were canceled, and lawyers were called in. Elderly parents in far flung corners of the world stood in line for hours to get copies of birth certificates and immunization records.
Then, on the day of the deadline, the State Department retracted the bulletin. The USCIS, which processes the applications, said it had already met its 140,000-person annual quota for employee sponsored applicants.
Those who tried to apply were told they had to wait. Some new applications may be considered again starting Oct. 1, but others may have to wait for years. The wait has become even longer after a surge in green card applications, amplified by a provision in 2001 that allowed undocumented immigrants or immigrants who had overstayed their visas to apply for green cards. The problem was exacerbated by the increased FBI security checks required after the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.

Senate introduced the "Protecting America�s Competitive Edge (PACE)" Act on Jan 26th. One of the sections states that folks with advanced degree are exempt from the numerical limitations on employment-based immigrants.
Is this true ? If yes, should the advance degree holders pursue this bill.

Hello All,
In my Birth certiifcate which was registered immediately after 10 days of my birth ,as per Indian custom I was named after my Grandmother and the birth certificate has that name. But later while joining in school we changed it to a different name just retaining a half of my Grandmother's name. So the Birth certificate I now have has a different name from my current name , what I now have in my passport and everything. So while filing I-485 what do I do? Is a sworn affidavit by my parents stating the name change and my Matriculation certificate showing my current name enough. I have waited 41/2 yrs in H4 to get Labor cleared and PD to become current and now I am going nuts. Pls. reply

If that is the case you have legitimate reason to take this matter with your local congress man if their legal cannot clear them.
Follow the suggestions of experts in this thread. I suggest you to contact your local congressmen. They would definitely help as in my case they did to expedite EAD renewal.
