Question about EB2 vs EB3 dates.
My case - EB3 12/2001
My wife - EB2 12/2004
Should I adjust my case with her? what are the chances. Or is it worthwhile waiting for my EB3 and adjust her in that.
Also do I need to re-apply for new EAD/AP because adjusting in the other case. thanks!

IMO, both arguments and are valid as far as speculations are concerned. It all depends on perspective. In this thread, we are focusing on statistics and calculations. I my self did lot of calculations. However, objectively looking at Ron's comments, it appears like his concern and underlying message is what if USCIS won't adjudicate enough numbers and wastes visa numbers as it did lot of times. He is basing his prediction on years of experience. With recent pressure on DOS/USCIS to use visa number, I think, they are making an attempt to use up all numbers and that will definitely bring life to our calculations. But what If they do not do that.....and their 'target' is a low number.
What you say can certainly happen, but I beleive that the pressure on USCIS is exponentially greater after last summer. People are watching their every step very closely. They got away with their inefficiency in prior years because the bottleneck was not USCIS - it was DOL that took a zillion years to clear labor petitions. Additionally the visa recapture of 2000 ensured no retrogression until 2005. Even after 2005 there were very few 485's to approve because of a) very low perm applications/approvals in 2005 and early 2006 and b) all the 2003/2004 labors were stuck in BEC's and were approved only in late 2006 or early 2007 (like yours truly - mine was actually an RIR but the BEC classified it as Traditional Recruitment and began recruiting for the position - but thats another story).
Net net; USCIS inefficiency was masked under DOL's backlog - but now their transgressions are out in the open and they cant hide anymore behind DOL especially after last summer.

I think judging Gandhiji in the context of Indian History is beyond my pay grade. I am sure about the fact that his ideology would remain relevant for much more time in human history.

This is my Question for traveling with advance parole.
1. came to usa 1999 as b1 visa with my wife.
2. change f1 student (my wife ) me f2 student depend after 4 months.
3. apply for I-485 employment i am principle applicant july 2nd 2007 riceive date and notice date is august 24th 2007 .
4. my wife apply i-824 july 2nd 2007 and she left usa july 14th 2007.
5. i got Ead and advance parole august 30th 2007.
6. i have not started work yet.
7. i had apply for f1 student visa (change of status f2 to f1) july 15th 2007 but denied.
so my question is my I-94 is f2 until d/s is no longer valied or not?
because my wife left uSA after filling my I 485 , is there is any problem travelling with advance parole?
my student change of status is denied so there is any problem to traval with advance parole?
i have not started work yet so there is any problem travelling with advance parole?

BUT WE PAY ALL TAXES, NO EXCEPTIONS! Is it not Modern day slavery ??

Why do you think it is Indian citizens? Just because some politicians are saying so for their own gains all Tamilians in Srilanka are not Indian citizen.
Heck, even USA is trying harder than India by using its muscle to block billions of dollars of IMF funds to SL for not caring about ceasefire.

No, they know what's going on, everybody know it's not a picnic there in the North, I didn't say that they were un aware what was going on in the North, all i said they are fine where they are, please read what i said. It seems you are only looking at it from 1 angle.
I'm not disputing what channel 4 reported, it's overwhelming for the govt to handle millions of IDP's and terrorists mixed up in 1 big bowl of soup. In any war situation there will always be cases of misconduct as it has happened in Iraq, Kashmir, Afghanistan etc.

I got mine approved 2 months back from countrywide with out any issues.and I got good interest rate too.
Has anybody really tried to get a mortgage recently? I have been denied by 8 lenders so far simply because I don't have a green card. Most lenders have tightened their underwriting guidelines. They will give mortgages only to U.S.Citizens or somebody who is a permanent resident aka having a green card. There are very very few lenders who will give mortgages to somebody on a visa and the rates may not be very favorable.

This incident has nothing to do with India. It just happened that SRK was from India.
After 9/11 we all know security measures are tight and rightly so.
For them it does not matter if it is
1. SR Khan who works in movies or
2. XYZ Khan who is a computer programmer or a cab driver.
If the name flashes in the computers they do the required checks.
Do you feel people with Muslim sounding names are targeted more?
No wonder, it is likely. DO NOT Blame USA TSA for that. Blame Osama Bin Laden for putting innocent Muslims through this.
