Just conveying a message is not sufficent. It should be the RIGHT message in a proper way. Flowers was good, because it was the first time something like that happened and it was unique.
No, we are not going to abuse this and we won't be sending stuff over and over. But stoppers have a very Specific significance: to educate and differentiate between legal and illegal. A stopper says "Stop the reverse brain drain"...A stopper would pique people's interest becase we are typically lumped in with illegals, and a stopper does not exemplify what illegals are. Illegal immigration's message is: "legalize us and help new guest workers come", our stopper says "We are already legal and are already leaving, fix this before we all leave"

The information was very helpful for me and others as well.
I think my education evaluation and MCA degree doesn't specifically state that my Master's degree was a three year degree course.
I now have a letter from University stating that it was a three year degree course and we are going for a fresh education evaluation.
I think the lessons learned here is to make sure that the degree and/or EE should clearly state the duration of course.
Any other suggestion or past success is highly appreciated.
Also, my RFE respond date is April 22, 2011 and not March 22nd as mentioned in my orginal post.
I also have a 3 year Bachelor's degree (BSc Physics) + 3 Year masters degree (MCA) from India. I would like to get it evaluated. Could you please let me know which education evaluation agency you used?

Did you apply 485 in August 07 and already your status is showing pending? Did you receive a receipt notice?

I have April 04 priority date (EB3/India). 485 received in Aug 07. The online status says 485 received and pending. What is the expected next status (whenever it will happen). For example, if your case (name) is for FBI Name Check process, will the status say something like that? What are the different status between receipt and APPROVAL(/denied)? Any experience holders???

I had a misdemenor and went to india. My case was dismissed while I was in india. I returned on AP at the newark airport and nothing was even mentioned about it..infact AP is considered the safest way to travel even safer than h1b because you are technically not admitted to US but are "admissible"..There is a difference

My wife is apply for AP renewal. She has her AParole until oct, 2,2008. She is travelling to india this week for three weeks. Can she apply for renewal and travel to india. Is it legal or does it have any replications.
According to my lawyer, the person (in this case your wife) must be in USA until your wife's AP application is accepted. Basically your wife should not try to apply AP when the she is not physically in USA.
After the application acceptance, your wife can travel.

You mean extend DL when you have H1 Extension approval notice...?
I agree with you. PenDot does not give online extension for non-immigrants. Also they extend visa for H1 only after you get extension letter in hand. They do not accept receipt notice.

Lets not hope for results just act. If Gandhi could drive Britishers out of India using this approach, USCIS is also made of human people and sure they will do something to lessen our pains.
The British were a bit smarter;). Here we have problems explaining to the average American (which include the officials of our Senators and Congressmen), the difference between h1B and Green card. Everytime I send a fax to the Senator regarding the Green Card, i get a reply about how they do or do not support H1Bs.
In this whole flower sending campaign, we want the message to be LOUD AND CLEAR. Gandhigiri alone did not drive the British out of India and even if it did, let us not forget in that case the British were on Indian soil, here we are doing Gandhigiri in another country ON THEIR SOIL!!

With all due respect, the probelem I have with volunteers is that I don't think amtures can pull a job this big, you've got to have profesionals, somethng like a compain maneger.
I admire the courage of your guys, and think the goal is fantastic. But the way it goes, I don't see how it can be achieved.
I've learned a great deal about immigration from the forum here. I very much appreciate it. I try to give back by answering questions others may have. I think IV has been doing a great job serving as that capacity.
But you guys want do something bigger. Well, you have faith in it, I don't, at least not now, neither many others. Maybe that is why you are still asking for money and volunteers.
Why the negativity?
What many people fail to see is that it is not IV core, or a manager or something that will get us out of this, it is OUR COLLECTIVE actions. The results will be directly proportional to what we put in.
Whether you help this effort in any way is about individual responsibility. If you are unwilling to do anything, and there are many ways to contribute and all and any of these are welcome, then frankly, your interest in this advocacy has to be questioned.

Obama has done something. He made sure that we are in this pell mall because democrats are not getting additional 12 million supporters. Had he been only 50% passionate towards immigration as he was towards Health Care, we as well as millions of others would have been out of this mess. Lets see :). I joined the forum last month and realized that I should NOT be one who wants a free ride. This is a great effort for all of us. We should support it by all means we can.
Immediately signed for monthly contributions. Last weekend I heavily sent emails to media persons and contacted the senators too. Everyone and every dollar counts. I am spreading the name amongst all my friends and colleagues at work.

I think you are wrong... Company A can revoke approved I-140, if employee leaves them..
So does this mean I am stuck with Company A till I get Garbage Can I mean GC ?

Hello Gurus,
I too have changed employer (B) from july 1st and have not yet filed AC21.
I have contacted attorney (who filed my GC and I-485) and he said he needs an authorization email from my old employer (A) to proceed further. I have asked my "A" for the authorization email and he is acting like he is not getting my emails. He is not answering my phone calls, even by mistake if he answers my call he is saying he will call me back, but never called me. i dont know whether he will revoke the I-140 which was approved in around April 2007.
I don't know what exactly I need to do in this situation like to wait for old employers' call. He was very nice when I was his employee, but from the moment I left the company, he is a changed man.
What are my best choices in this situation?
BTW, I have paid all the legal expenses for H1s and GC processing.

IT and BPO outsourcing is also leading to Americanization of Indian youth and Indian youth are spending their high salaries on American products. In no time you will see American fast food chains, groceries, and many American MNCs cashing on a Americanized Indian crowd and neutralize ( and will eventually exceed the investments they make).
This is the beginning of Americanization. Most of you will not understand what I say because you are here in US for a long time and being first generation immigrants (on a limbo) keep up with your tradition. Americanization is like a slow bleed. IT and BPO is investment. Returns will come in form of MNCs and businesses and finally benefit American economy.
Just go back to India and look into the ITand BPO companies and lifestyles of people there. it will be 5 times higher than what we follow here as the Americanization is already induced.
Bottomline, do not underestimate America. They know what they do.
