You can try calling USCIS and explaining the situation. Make sure to tell them that you are dependent on the EAD for employment so ensure that they do not revoke the existing 1 year EAD while in the process of granting the 2 year EAD (If they do that)

For a lot of others it's a long wait. Unless you used substitution labor to jump the line, increasing the Visa numbers, elimination of country quotas is your only hope. IV is the only organization/movement working for it.
Be part of the movement to get those LUDs in your case. Real status is - 'Case Approved'. Rest all are passe. Work for the real thing.

Hey thanks for the reply. I see you mentioned one thing that caught my eye:
-- They may want to file an AC-21 letter ( stating that they have permanently employed you for this position for this salary yada yada yada ... ) and definitely a G28 to change representation on your cases in case of any RFE and other communication by USCIS.
company B is offering me a fulltime position with a 3 month introductory period in which they can fire me without having to provide any reason
- how does this affect my AC-21 application?
- Is there a period within which they have to file for this application?
- Obviously i am assuming if they fire me then i will have to ask the next employer (company c in this case) to file for AC-21?
- Also in this case does any of the 2 companies A and B have the right to revoke to I-140 or just company A?
- do i need to worry about company B messing with my application in any sort?

Dont you get it. berkleybee was a great asset to IV as a core team. Atleast I felt so. Her/his analysis and post on IV were great. All of a sudden BB disappeared from IV.
So I figured BB and IV did not fell out. I for one have great regard for BB and will any day trust his/her analysis.
IMHO IV would have been much stronger with Raz4u , BB etc.
They just vanished.
I was not around when berekeleybee was here. I joined this forum recently because my old lawyer kept telling me the dates will move and I was not aware of the seriousness. anyway, looks like what this person berekelybee says is true, and that is not nice news.

Sorry guys I am not the brightest bulb on the tree so I kinda missed the joke here. Are you saying that USCIS is giving away TVs and we should all watch TV instead of waiting for GC? Or are you suggesting that we should start selling tv to get gc?

Do I see any update in online status of my I485, If USCIS sends me FP notice. Filling date is July 10th. I received everything else (Receipts, AP, EAD) but FP notice. If I call USCIS, do they help me find my FP notice status??? Please help...

Guys pls stop taking useless info pass appointments. People like me who have not received EAD and may loose the job are not able to get infopass appointments because of all the people taking appt to know the 485 status. Pls understand......
Most people taking infopass are having serious matter to talk. If you suggest not taking infopass after 92 days and get to know of EAD status is alright, I donot agree. How can it delay your 'urgent/emergency' appointment. AOS issue comes in between btw.

As I am writing, I understand there are 1900 active members and 5800 members. Even if 50% of the members bring one new member each, there will be a tremendous increase. And this can be done via internet: web and emails. Set a target (50% increase?),deadline (Oct 31st?) and have weekly count of new additions displayed prominently. Democrats did that for Howard Dean's campaign and the model has been used for subsequent elections by both the parties.. There were many new members who were asking for rallies on streets. There are others who want to send flowers, 'Remember me' cards to lawmakers. A few others wanted to put up fliers in INdian and Chinese grocery stores. Even 20% of effort to carry out those activities would fetch at least one new member per old one, then the target can be achieved.
IV core had been very voiceferous, when we needed to achieve the funding target in summer. Can they become more involved chalking out a plan to
increase membership, if that really matters? In the membership enrollment form, if there is a field asking if some old members brought the applicant in, then we would know how many old ones really care to do something. Without personal outreach and contact, the rate of new additions will never increase.
Each member has potentially minimum of two votes to spare 6 years from the day he or she gets GC. When presidential elections are decided by ~600 votes in a single voting district, even thousands of potential votes from IV community would appear to be a juicy carrot.
In my work community, there are ~100 Chinese and Indian staffers. As far as I know,my Chinese colleagues, who are more in number and most are in some stage of GC, have not heard of IV or even SKIL bill. They don't need to as all of them are EB2 and hence they are retrogressed for just over an year. Among lesser numbered Indian-origin staffers, the story is the same. On my part, I can spread the word here and breath down the shoulders of some and get them in. I am working for a non-IT non-profit establishment. Just imagine, what happens if a personal quest for new members happen in an EB3-rich IT or finance sectors?
Any suggestions for concrete plan of action? Without a plan, committment from some of us to act as catalysts and keep up the momentum this drive will not work. Bringing in at least one new member per old one is much better than rallying, sending flowers, chocalates, 'Do me a favor' cards etc.
Are we upto this?

We really need to increase our membership. Higher membership will mean us looking tall when we meet lawmakers. Please all try to help us spread the word of IV to everyone you know that is stuck in retrogression. We represent at least half million people but we currently not even have 6 thousand members. Thus we have to bring lot many people into IV. I would encourage everyone to pls. register on this forum instead of being visitors.
