Not an amended H1. It is an H1B extension for 3 years after I140.
The question is if you have this approval in your hand (whose start date is after your current visa validity) and you return to the country within your visa validity, will the official have I-94 valid till the end of the new approval or till the date your current visa is valid?
According to "Last Action" Rule of USCIS, there is a possibility that your H1B extention approval becomes invalid because the POE gave validity till your visa end.
Seems all so screwed up. But red-tape rules are never white and black.

Is it against the law to apply for F-1 visa while I-130 is pending? May it in some way affect the I-130 application?
Since DS-160 form doesn't ask that question regarding petition on my behalf anymore do I have to tell them the truth myself or not unless they ask? Please comment. Thank you.

got my receipts from CSC, filed at NSC, details in signature
checks not yet cashed, no receipt for 131.
I read in one of the posts in here that for case being sent to California, the EAD and AP are being cleared much faster than other service centers...
Does anyone has any idea about this?????

You may be right. But with your logic all these talk about opening an SR, getting an infopass and blah blah is not right then. We have polls here on what worked....that's what i was telling it is too much of a coincidence. Opening an SR won't make a sick IO healthy and come back to work..taking an infopass won't bring a dropped out file back in the pile...talking to senators and congressman are useless anyways....
So bottomline is all this talk about what works or not is a pure guess and nothing else....USCIS has always been a black box and will always be..

I believe the H1B status ceases after the date of your termination ( i.e. you stop working for the H1 sponsoring employer ). That is the zero tolerance policy of USCIS. Now, one should use AC21 and notify USCIS before the I-485 is approved ( with previous employer as sponsoring entity ).
please don't post information you are not sure of. unless employer withdraws H1 there is no way USCIS can know of this. (Employers are not legally bound to file for H1 withdrawal) Also I would like to know the source of your 'zero tolerance' policy in regards to H1. In fact they forgive upto 6 months of 'unauthorized' employment when processing I-485. (http://www.murthy.com/news/n_nscuna.html). may not be a bad idea to enter different zip codes each time and reach out to many more publications.

Asian airlines such as Thai, Cathay and Asiana all offer better fares, better service and faster transit times.Plus these countries are not trying to fleece people by requiring that they get a "Direct Airside Transit Visa". It happened with my family when they reached the airport to board their flight on Virgin , they were not allowed.I then bought tickets on Thai for the next day. To compound the pain, Virgin imposed a "No Show" fee on each ticket despite going to the airport. I think it would be best to avoid most European carriers, if for no other reason but they offer higher fares, terrible service, long transit times and last but not the least; the scam of the century(Airport Transit Visas). What do they think the passengers will try to do, jump off the walkway and make a run for it so they can settle illegally in U.K!I think the U.K govt is running out of ways to make money so they have found the most ridiculous way to make a few extra pounds from people foolish enough to travel on one of their carriers! DONT FLY VIA U.K. PERIOD!

My application reached USCIS on Aug 14th.
How do you guys get to track the status online, do you get the receipt and then track it online.
I am from arizona and dont know which place my lawyer filed the I 485 app with EAD and AP. Is it that applications from arizona go to a specific location so that i can go to USCIS website and get some approximate date.
Please do let me know.

Yes, you create an online account on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/login.jsp with the provided receipt numbers.
You can also choose to get email notifications every time there is a change in status for any of your applications.

Actually people will support that not discussing strategies among members have created more damage to us then discussing and let antis know about them.

Do not get me wrong - I do not expect the IV activists to jump on the "ideas" I posts. They have done more than enough and have said that many times. Just one thing was not properly handled in my opinion - the backlog issue. There is no excuse for the Immigration dept for this backlog. This is a simple clerk's job which they screwed. IV as a an organization should clearly state it and insist on fast resolution by the respective authorities, not just foggy promises.
But it is time for the "grassroots" to start thinking and acting, not just waiting for someone else to do it for them. That is why I keep this conversation going and suggest "ideas".
Again, thanks for the good job done by the core team and volunteers done until now. Unfortunately this is just a beginnig of a long jurney...

Friends, my question was timing of porting priority date, to put the question in one line as below,
Earlier I-140, PD Mar 06 from company A if i file new I-140 Eb2 from company B, i am aware that i can port priority but the question is when this can be done, when I apply new I-140 or when after I apply new I-140 or after i get my second I-140 approved.
