At this point, I'm not interested in learning XML or XSLT, my point was that you really don't <i>need</i> all of those things, escpecially when you are first starting out. There are plenty of people who would be happy to hire someone and keep paying them to update. And PHP would work just as well as a content management system (with mySQL of course)

Thank you very much for all the advices. I wonder if I do need to take vacation around the early of year 2008 and come back approximately October, 08 due to my H1B expiration in April, 08. I wonder if I still need to be employed full time with my current employer during the whole period that I�ll not be in US. Do I need to get pay during that period? Would part time be enough in order to keep the green card process going? Also, do I need to file any applications with USCIS prior to taking vacation in order to let USCIS know that I�ll be taking vacation and I can use that vacation time outside US to extend my H1B until around October, 08. If I have to file, when should be the best time to file it and what form should I use? I plan to leave around the early of February, 08. Accordingly, I can come back around October, 08 and file the I-797 form for H1B extension if my I-140 is approved by then. Please advise and thank you very much.

I asked my lawyer same question... and she said you can port from EB3 to EB2 using same labor but employer has to withdraw approved I-140 first and this is really dicey.
Best option is to file new PERM + new I-140 and then port the PD
I am going to file a new PERM and new I-140. Assuming the time taken to get new PERM approved is 1 year or 1.5years and than to file new I-140 and to get I-140 approval is going to take a long long time. So my question was after getting the new perm approval can we file new I-140 along with the copy of old approved I-140 from another company or I have to wait to get my new I-140 approved inorder to port priority date. My older I-140 also belongs to EB2 category and new PERM application will also be in EB2.

I have been banned too - simply because I raised the cause of international students and IV's duplicity in its stance, and that makes some GC-greedy members paranoid. :D
If this thread is about exposing people who have been banned, then so be it. We will reveal the details that we do not normally do. You have repeatedly used offensive language and several of your posts have been deleted in the past. If you want IV to focus on student's cause, then you will need to work on that effort. IV can offer a platform. You continue to post hateful messages against IV. IV is a platform and if you want to do something get students together on a platform, we will guide you. Just like we are helping people stuck in Perm Audits these days. But it is upto people who are stuck to take up the challenge and not expect someone else to do it for them and they will simply come to the site and pass judgments.

Thanks for ur input friends .My employer called today and opened a service request for denail notice and Attorny sent them note in writing that we didnt get denail notice as of today .I hope that way i can buy some time for MTR.Others employees of the same company who got RFE on A2p continue to get their approvals so i really dont know what went wrong here .

Mine is LC SUB PD May 2001/EB2. File on visa fiasco, no update no LUD on any file other than EAD.
So do not get angree on people who used LC SUb.

I am in 7th year of H1b now..last time my h1b was renewed dates were until April 2008. I went to india in Dec 2006 and came back in Jan 2007. My passport was expiring on Sept 29th 2007 so Immigration officer dated my I-94 until sept 29th 2007 and told me same thing that you can go to any port of entery or international airport and meet USCIS officer and extend your I-94 with your new passport. I waited until last moment and around sept 24th I went to USCIS officer on airport as well as on Port of Entry (called Deffered Inspection site). Both places got answer you need to file extention online because we only correct mistakes and this is not a mistake but it was case of passport expiration. I called my lawyer, my hr, my company lawyer. Everyone told me I cant work after 29th sept as my i-94 is expiring. Thats same as your H1 expiring. SO either leave country and comeback with new stamping or file new h1b. I ended up filing new H1b as i had only couple of days left before my I-94 would have expired. I have filed I-485 and ead and my I-140 is pending. My pd is Dec 2003. As per my lawyer I want be out of status as mY I-485 is pending but I will loose eligibility to work as I wont have any work authorization once my I-94 expires and dont have EAD approved on my hand. I am in the same situation with H1/H4 extension receipt dates of Dec 21,2006. My current H1 and wife's H4 are expiring in June 2007. I dont think the H4 will be approved before Apr 2007. My company wont sponsor for premium processing neither its allowing me to pay for it. Can we just file for H4 to H1 under regular processing and submit the H4 extension approval once we get it approved. I am sure it will take them atleast 5-6 months to process regular H1 filings. Can more documentation be submitted to USCIS based on the receipt notice without them asking for it. I am just worried incase her H1 is approved without an attached I-94. It's a nightmare to go for stamping back home. Any suggestions/views?
