At least he is better than my lawyer who did not allow me to file in EB2 and also discouraged my company from applying for a second labor. Now i have PD apr or may 2002 and I wait for my turn to come. To each his own, I have read his posts on the forum and the advice seems good.

We don't even advocate for anything, just post things on the forum. IV has given us immigrants a platform - many of us don't even know it, let alone using it.
If we want to stay in this country, we need a president who can take this country progressively to the future instead of "lets take the country back" "this is not the country I grew up in" rhetoric! If this country goes backwards in time while the rest of the world embraces progress - guess what? - No use having a GC here.

I have only 1 CG application and no question to interfile (read jealous:)), but after reading this thread, one my co-worker also from india asked this.
She is waiting for GC for more than 5 years, has 2 different I-140s. But should she go for interfilling? Let me ask this question to fellow sufferers.
Our company lawyer never answers question in details, and is not responding on this. She will have to send directly to USCIS in case...
First I-140 - Company A - EB3 - PD July 2003 - approved June 2007 - nothing further, she has the copy of I-140 approval notice though.
Second I-140 - Company B - EB2 - PD Jan 2006 - approved April 2007 - currently filed in july 07
Even after so much begging, the lawyer refused to entertain her and did not asked for PD transfer.
Her husband is working using EAD since last year, is not in H4 status anymore. This is why she is extremely cautious and not taking any chance with her pending I-485. (afraid to interfile all these days.)
What can she do now? I know her EB2 is current as if August 2008, so that is another factor to consider.

When her both I140s were approved before the July/07 485 application, why didn't she use PD Porting at the time of applying 485 app in July/07. That is one of the easiest way to port PDs. It would have been straight forward and she may have received the GC by now. I know, lawyers can make one's GC Journey much more harder than it should be.
Nothing happens to your current "Adjustee" status if you interfile. But, I can understand the apprehension duw to either lack of information or plethora of wrong information present in the open.
As her EB2 PD is becoming current from Aug/08, she need not do anything now, maybe 4-5 months ago she should have done interfiling when EB2 started to come out of Unavailability. On Aug/1st, she can call USCIS and if they let her, open a Service Request on behalf of her case saying that her PD is current and her RD is July/07. If everything on her app is complete, she may get the approval in August only. Best of luck to you and her. May you guys get it soon too.

I understand the informational part of your post, but i don't understand the bad news part of it. How does getting a 2yr EAD change your I-485 processing? It will get processed whenever it supposed to be processed next.
There are ppl like me - EAD is pending for over 3.5 months and there's no decision. Be content with the fact that yours was approved in time and it's icing on cake that it's 2 yrs validity. the way i see it, it's all good news. Point me to the bad news please.

It is not workable option. How can you ask and convince your attorney to wait till the end of month and file. It is really foolishness and stupidity. If something happens, everybody will suffer. So, start sending whenever your docs are ready and good to go. Since we got a month, all filings will be distributed to whole month, and nobody or media cares. If they receive all on a particular one day, then it will be in news unnecessarily. Then, everybody starts hating GC applicants like the way it is happening for H1Bs because of mass filings on Apr 2nd 2007.
So, please don't bring these ideas to forums for your personal benefit. If you are waiting on for some documents to end of next month, just you only wait, not all of us. We want to go and file. Most of us are already waited enough time to get a chance like this.

Already we are seeeing 45 days backlog of receipt.
besides lawyers just have to instruct fedex to pickup and deliver it on july 30th, how difficult can it be ?? except they should have little more room to pile up the applications until july 30th :)

Good news story, kudos.
To me, the message seems like - problems with no solutions (yet). I wish there had been more time for them to elaborate on the emotional roller coaster and money spent with little return for who knows how many people/families.

I can also make a webite that asks you to vote to remove poverty in India and say its is a free, open-source, non-profit, and non-partisan web resource with a mission to make Indian government more transparent, responsible and to encourage civic engagement. Do you really think you will vote? or your votes will be seen by Manmohan singh?

That is why I have said "most" and not all. You are right I do not have any proof or data (but I am sure IV does) , try scanning any of the threads and you will see what I stated is very obvious.
If this post instigated you then you are not as thick skinned as some of your EB2 peers and hopefully will join the bandwagon of Donors soon.
My bitterness is the same for EB3's who do not do much other than posting on threads but I think (no proof again) there are more EB3 donors in the Donor threads than EB2's.
Agreed that I haven't contributed (yet) but that's a mighty big acquisition from your end on calling all of us EB2's free riders without any considerable data to prove it.
I think it's within our best interests to remain united until things are straightened up but I sure can understand your bitterness and hope the best for you too.
