My spouse is landing here on Aug 15. That leaves only one day to get medicals done. Any suggestions on how to handle this ? Can she skip skin test and take X-rays directly ?
For skin PPD test , you have to go back to Doctor after 24-72 hours to show the reaction.If nothing comes up its good , but incase you are positive then you will have to go for XRay , so obviously you need to plan for more than 1 day.

My PD is years after you folks.. just wanted to wish you good luck!
Calling all EB3 INDIA applicants with a PD before October 1, 2001.
Friends we have been current since November 1st of this year. Many of us still have not heard anything about our cases. If you have this PD you have already been waiting over 7 yrs. What should we do to get USCIS's attention to look at our cases. It seems service requests are useless. They send the same old letter to everyone and thesere is no action. Whats our best options. Lets gather and look at ideas on what we can do. We know USCIS is so random.
Friends this is very imp for us. We have already suffered the most and are the most behind in dates compared to any other Category and country. We waited in pain and silence for years for our PD to become current. Now it finally is but still we see no action. Guys speak up lets try to do all we can. In this economy last thing we need is a waste of our 7 yrs of waiting and our files falling through some crack because of a random USCIS process.
Any thoughts, ideas ? whats worked for others and whats not. Will we get our green cards while we are still alive ????????

Unfortunately, this will require change in Law and is not an Admin Fix
I request everybody to add one line in the letter for Consular processing filers as they should be allowed to get AC21 and EAD facilities now. This law came earlier only for 485 filers because CP process was fast but now due to retrogession all CP filers are waiting for Years and in the worst sitauation as 485 filers are enjoying their freedom with AC21 and EAD

Dear friends, why do you seek to start bashing your country at the first opportunity you get. THere are people in the Indian Govt who are negotiating on your behalf to make sur you get your money back.
THen on the question of paying bribes to get money out of PPF - something is better than nothing. Why complain. If it is so bad, go back and fight to fix the system, otherwise stop maoning. India is the only country that will welcome you if you are kicked out of here. I remember i used to pay 50 INR per ticket for a railway seat, now i go online and book a ticket. Things change they take time and patience.
Only those people who have NEVER bribed anyone to get stuff done illegally, or out of turn should speak. And i know there is no one, since you are in US and came on a passport and we all know how passports are obtained.
You left india, want to stay away, so leave it alone. When you are kicked out of everywhere, the doors will still be open, just keep some cash for the gatekeeper.
Lets discuss whether this swap will be possible or not, or what the loopholes are.

Never bribed to get my passport. Got it in Calcutta (now Kolkata), which has its negatives of course, but you don't have to bribe anyone to get a passport in Cal. The guy who came to do the police verification did not even ask for tea. But I agree with you. Most everyone in India has to pay bribes to get things done. FYI, I got my RFE today too and it is for the same exact thing as my wife's, which I shared yesterday below.
I got LUD 2/17 and 2/18, same for my wife, 2/17 was RFE message, got my wife's RFE in mail today it was for a serological HIV test which was supposedly required but was not done.
Have yet to receive my RFE yet, hopefully tomorrow.

I would say another problem is getting the H1 stamped. Ever since they got rid of getting the H1 stamped within US we have to go out of the country to get it stamped and you never know how much time it is going to take. Now due to PIMS delays some people are getting stuck for more than a month and no one can afford such long holidays .
On top of that if you are going out of the country then there are airline tickets and stamping fee etc etc which also comes in 1000's of dollars.

I dont know about other members but it is hard for me to blv that IIT's and IIM's will come to US for a masters degree coz they could not find a job in India or they could not get an admit in a master's program.
If that was the case people would have stopped going got IIT's/IIM's. Why will someone work so hard to get to the top most program - to not get a job and then pursue MS from US OF A????
I think the IIT's/IIM's come here they MOSTLY (not all) come here for a purpose....research/money/better life/whatevet.....

I read, "why should I support if I am not affected or benefited". This level of selfishness surprises me (or considering average human nature, should not surprise me). My lawyer is asking 350 for EAD and 500 for AP for each person excluding filing fees.Is it normal.or Can I go to another lawyer for EAD and AP who is cheaper than my company lawyer.
In general they are inclusive ie 485 + EAD + AP for primary is $1000 and for additional is $500 which is a standard.

"If the votes were there, you wouldn't need to have the meeting. You could go to a roll call," Emanuel told reporters during an hour-long breakfast.
About 20 senators and House members are due to arrive at the White House at 2 p.m. for the discussion in the State Dining Room. Aides to the president said the meeting was intended to "launch a policy conversation by having an honest discussion about the issues and identifying areas of agreement and areas where we still have work to do."
The president will announce administrative actions that the White House has already taken to chip away at the issues, including a modernization of computers that allow people to quickly see their immigration status. Officials said the White House hopes to begin the more controversial debate over a comprehensive approach to address illegal immigration later this year.
But Emanuel offered reporters a more realistic assessment, saying that while it is "not impossible" to get immigration reform done this year, it is more likely to be pushed off.
"It's not impossible to do it this year," he said. "Could you get it in this year? Yes. I think the more important thing is to get it started this year."
Responding to a question about the political implications for Democrats of delay, Emanuel said, "It's better that it happens politically. It's also better that we continue to focus on improving the economy."

My EAD is now pending 96 days..no luck..not going anywhere with USCIS - they have stopped responding also.
All your posting makes sense but I suggest each of us write a letter to CISOmbudsman explaining your case so that it gets documented and they can put some pressure on USCIS on explaining as to why across the board they are dealyed i issuing EAD renewal. USCIS keeps claiming its only 1.3% of cases thats pending but why? What reason? We all understand they may be loaded but atleast if they cant handle the laod they should admit it and issue interim EAD. Just keping mum does not help. What i cant understand is if they can approve my AP on time whats the issue with EAD?
I have really started questioning myself as to why i am in this country. Its no more a land of oppurtunity..its really disccouraging for the young graduates who are heading to this country or graduating in US Universities.

It is correct that a MBA will prepare one for mutiple fields, however the question being asked is specific for IT professionals who are trying to jump into management.
I believe the confusion is there between MBA and PMP, because some of the folks are at a juncture where they want to make a quick buck and are also thinking of career advancement.
Yes for a quick buck you can get a PMP and move up the ladder, but for long term sustainance you need MBA for senior management posts.
