Hi Shana
I have question i'm planning to use ac21 ,but my current labor certification jon title code is 15-1031 (computer sepcialist engineer -Oracle) but my new job is DBA (application development -Oracle ) But the nature of the job responsibilites are same but i believe the Job code may change b'cos of the Title.
Do you think will this be a problem if i use AC21.
Your inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the response. Could you please provide me some documental support in this regard. I need them to convince my client. I came out of the project due to this issue. To go back again I need to provide a little support. Atleast, if possible please provide me some links.
One more question. My EAD will expire by April. Can I apply for renewal?

I dont know what to do. I opened an SR on Oct 8,2007. My ND is Sept 10. And so far no FP appointment yet. My app is at TSC.
Apahilaj/anyone with similar dates , did you guys get the FP yet.
Nothing yet...I was out of town for a week and just got back home last night...writing to ombudsman did not help either. Will just wait!

AILA and all the immigration lawyers and many employers threw a hissy fit when DOL wanted to shut down labor substitution.
They lobbied hard at DOL to allow the continuation of labor substitution. IV has tried to get DOL to eliminate labor substitution or at least make it such that the Priority date is not the labor filing date but the 140 filing date. Allow labor sub with PD = 140 filing date will solve the problem of cutting in line and getting ahead in an unfair manner. We have been calling and talking to ppl all over new england area.
But we have hardly been able to get a convincing number of ppl to attend the rally.
Have you watched the bus thread for New England Area. 26 votes, can you believe that.
We definitely need to get more innovative. I dont know what ppl want, so they can be motivated.
Sometimes i think being educated is a curse, as ppl become more scared and are fine adapting to the system.
Look at the ILLEGALS at least they came out openly. They dared to come forward and i am sure they will be rewarded sooner.
LEGAL ppl who have nothing to fear are then also they are more scared to do anything. So this is the right time for me to express my opinion LEGALS ARE FOOLS.
Please dont be mad at me, i am just frustuated with ppl responses, but one thing for sure, i will keep on motivating ppl in whichever way i can do.

I took up your challenge. Though I live in a relatively rural area and initially felt I couldn't go due to bad flight connections etc. I decided to just go online and look for a flight and see how it goes. I found a good deal and booked it just now. Though it is just for one day go 17th and return 18th evening, I felt it is our final shot to be heard until 2009.
It is a flight to Baltimore airport which I understand in 30 miles away.
Now my question is, Is there anyone who is willing to host me and/or drive me to the rally?
FYI those of you in Michigan, you can get really good deals on northwest to baltimore.

This date is for those people who try to ebcome illegal ( like us , now we are thinkign to become one). Now you cant become illegal becos of this cut off date.
:) We should find out a way to convince them we worked illegally for cash before Jan 1, 2007. Some one suggested before if we can find another H1B provide an affidavit that he/she did some lawn work at the house both of them will become eligible for the mighty 'Z' visa :D

That post was intended towards EB3 category, particularly EB3-India. Ever since starting of this Fiscal Year there are very few EB3-India approvals (Can anybody dispute that?). So how come USCIS used up all the visas already?? Most of the guys here always talk about EB2-India which is not highly effected category in the first place. We suppose to be taking care of effected categories.
How do you know there have been very few EB3 approvals? There is no tracker accurate enough for us to know that.

I dont think you need to worry much since you might have just started your GC process and you have not filed your 485 yet. If I am in your situation, I will definitely go for it if its a real good job and if thats what I have been waiting for. May be you can restart the whole GC process.
Nothing is certain in the GC process. Find a right job and then start your GC. That ways even if you are stuck for several years, you dont need to go find another job.

Be prepared for RFE if you are invoking AC21. Though you can survive that, imagine the period between receiving the RFE and responding to it. What if that happens in your 5th or 6th year of wait?? I pray that your wait is not that long.

This may lead to better bipartisan cooperation in Washington, but that is unlikely, particularly given the a real possibility that economic recovery will not happen by 2012, not because of the failure of politicians in Washington to address the problem, but because of the depth and seriousness of the problem itself. Given the difficulty of fixing the economy, even if both parties were willing to cooperate towards that end, the more potent strategy would be for both parties to increase the partisan rancor in Washington by blaming each other, accusing the other side of destroying the country and the like.

Come on we need to learn to forget the cold war days. This is 21st century and the age of facebook and other social networking platforms. the world is getting more connected and there will soon be no place for fighter planes any more. What we need is "food" and "water".....
Nature is showing us again and again the futility of our ambitions (regional and international) through her rather quite infrequent thrashings these days....
296 people perished this week in terrible tornadoes (worst in last 40 years!!!).....10000 or more a month ago in Japan earthquake (5th worst ever recorded!!!)....

As you can see I am EB2-I (info above) and am waiting in line for my turn but I am just wondering if L1 route to GC is quicker? If so then how?
Not that I am trying to do it because I can not :) but I know someone who just got his GC via L1 in matter of months and here we all EB guys are waiting..
