Well - these people get VIP treatment in prison - believe me - they get good food, drinks, entertainment, cell phones, cable tv, reading room and other things. They wont keep VIPs along with pickpockets and robbers.
Most of the VIP frauds actually continue their business operations or start new ventures when in jail and sometimes form new partnerships with like minded VIP frauds who are also in the same prison.
It is a haven for them.

How long is it taking for renewing passport at San Francisco?
I submitted my passport renewal application by hand on 25th Feb, and got a pickup date of 17th Mar.
looks like SFO is bit slow in processing passport renewals.

I received receipt nos. from CSC. Later i received EAD also. Today i received mail from USCIS stating that my case is transferred to Nebraska. :(

Does anyone kn ow if the 485 receipt is required tog et FP notice?
Also, my 485 receipt has a receipt date of august 28, but I am a july 2nd filer..does anyone else here have the same situation?

What if the I-140 is approved, I-485 pending less than 180 days and change of jobs to happen?
In this case, can the employer still revoke the I-140 though it has been approved already?
if you change your employer within 180 days of 485 RD, the employer can revoke your 140 which will invalidate your 485.
After 180 days you can switch using your H-1 too. The EAD is not necessary.

hi mirchiseth, I recently applied AP to wrong location. I guess some one had the same situation while back. Do you remember how did that fixed.
Basically my case is pending at texas, but i wrongly sected missory and so my receipt number says MSC, that is what i realized that it was efiled to wrong location. Any help in this would be appreciated.
I also took infopass appointment to check, i am not sure if i get help with out getting the confirmation receipt as i efiled yesterday.
There is a cut-off date. Until then they forward those applications to right center (it may take a while), check when is that.

Wow, I am really excited about all the support!
I know that with the weather up north (yep, I am in the deep south) it may seem impossible to train/run/walk now, but you can run indoors on a treadmill, cross train on the elliptical machine and even use indoor running tracks. At my gym, I manage to do 8 mile training runs on the indoor track, guys that is 81 laps around this itty bitty track! :) Nutty? yes; but when you are motivated, you can find a way.
The three national events we pick can be for later in the year, but each Team IV member can run local events (weather permitting) accross the country. The fundraising can be 3 events per Team IV member per year. That would be in keeping with the 3 national events we pick.
My idea is for Team IV members to host a targetted fund raising campaign - which is divided into 3 events over the span of 1 year. I have a host of ideas to present on activities you can do and you only have to choose 3 of them for the year. We can get into these details after I run my ideas by the Coordinator Group.
I am going to set up the Group this week, so those who have responded to me, look out for my e-mail from my yahoo account.
Let me just say this much for now. I have run several long distance races over the past 10 years in the US and each and everytime that I have run for a cause, I found myself more motivated to train and I had more fun throughout the process.

We are constantly seeing news articles and polls about these topics. Let it be know that the legal immigrant community of IV promotes a healthy lifestyle by its Team IV campaign. usually, non-profit work may seem thankless & there'll always be someone who can find something -ve...I mean you have so much population that difference of opinion is easy. Hello All ,
My application for i485 , i765 and i131 was recvd in Lincoln,Nebraska on July 23 , 2007. (Sent by my company's attorney on July 21) . I have been waiting for over 2 months for any updates or receipt notice but nothing so far . After reading some forums in this website , i called USCIS (number from USCIS website) and got my case escalated to an officer who asked my last name ,first name , date of birth and coutry of birth . He gave me all the three receipt numbers for AOS , AP and EAD . All the receipts numbers are starting with WAC meaning the cases were xferred from Nebraska to California Service Center . When i looked at online status of i485 case , it says the case is xferred to Nebraska since it is in their jurisdiction . The other two cases for EAD and AP are pending . I still have not recvd any receipt notices from my attorney . So , i guess everyone who is waiting for their receipt notices might want to call USCIS and get their numbers .

Did you have to get it in advance or did you get it on arrival?
No visa required with GC. But, since I only had my AP, they asked me to get a Mexican visa ($36). The above rule must be new (no visas needed with non-immigrant US visas).
