I think soon every IV member will have enough hands-on experience to practise immigration law in U.S. The analysis and research skills make all of us great candiates for practicing law after getting the green card... Obviusly without a law degree, you cannot practise law but it could be an option guys :-)

I completely empathize with you, salcom3. My daughter is in similar boat.
Apart from what IV might do, each of us should write immediately to as many Senators and House Members as possible with our own story, pointing out the unfair treatment of those who are trying to play by the rules.

Here is my daughter's case:
1994 she was 8 years old when we brought her to USA
2002 asylum case was denied, we had to go back to our country (we didn't stay illegaly)
2002 after one month we came back, with H-1 visa, daughter with H-4
2003 I applied for LC
2006 My daughter turned 21 - She had to change status to F-1 (of course college fees were triple). She is out of LC process because of her age.
2007 LC approved, she is still F-1 and paying a lot of money in tuition.
I mean, these kids like my daughter (and I am sure there are thousands like her), deserve a break too. If the DREAM ACT is going to benefit illegal persons, it should also benefit children that have waited for their parents' LC process for long years only to see their hopes destroyed.

In the previous month, EB3-INDIA date was April22nd,2001. Now it moved to May8th2001. Now, the people with PD's from April22rd2001 to May7th2001 are eligible to apply or ready for adjudication of 485. That means, probably, there are lot of 485(245i) cases to be adjudicated? What do you all think?

I am also single and filed 485 in July 485. My PD is Dec 2006 under eb2. At present the EB2 dates are June 2006. I am carefuly waching the dates every month to pull back my application if my Eb2 dates becomes current to my PD date.
But this question often hunts me...
1. If USCICS apprvoes my 485 by mistake while my PD date is not current, can I let them know about it and get the 485 approval cancelled or is it irreversibale...??
2. HOw long does it take to notify USICS to withdraw my 485...??

Dont withdraw the 485, if you already found your spouse. Watch for visa bulliton and search the parter quickly. You will have 15 days time between visa bulliton publising date and the date on which PD is current. Within that 15 days you can get marry, and apply "follow to join" petition for your spouse.

Just venting out on IV Forum will not get us anywhere.
Our lawmakers are unaware of the issues that affect us and it is really upto us (each one of us) to educate them.
The most important thing that somebody can do for themselves is to take an appointment with your congresswo/man's office and talk to them. It is not that difficult. Just 1 hour of your time.

This is by far THE MOST RIDICULOUS suggestion on this forum I have come across.
Sorry man, this wont work for ANYONE out here. We have been waiting since TWO AND A HALF Years to file and now you want us to wait for 15 more days only to realize that USCIS may actually yank the rug out under us. I mean think about it, we will all feel like MONUMENTAL FOOLS if that happens. Try explaining THAT to your spouse who has been waiting for 2 years or more to apply and get an EAD. I know mine would KILL me if i even suggested that to her ;)

I never said you are working on %age basis. I know many H1Bs work on %age basis like independent contractors. This leads to benching and USCIS is trying to crack down on
that. If one is working on fixed basis and getting paid on bench as well, then for them there wont be major problem. But of course collateral damage will be there during the
crackdown process.

Currently where I am working client willing to hire me as a fulltime employee with the same titile and giving me the supporting letter with the same job duties mentioned in my LC (I have added few more technologies it).
Even my attorney says the same, no need to inform CIS - when we get the RFE we will see.
Can you kindly let me know all the documents I need to gather and what I need to request from new employer in order to submit AC21 bunch to CIS.
Here are job discriptions with titles.
Old Employer.
Title: Computer Systems Analyst.
Analyze systems requirements, procedures & problems to automate process. Write description of user needs, program functions & steps to develop and modify systems. I traveled to India and back via Frankfurt (Lufthansa) last month and did not have any issues. I have an AP which was approved 2 weeks before I traveled to India.
