1. Would you be happy if I say it is not legal for consulate to ask for such documentation?
2. Do you want me to call them names?
3. Would it be better for me to state that they are racially motivated and discriminating against Indians?
4. They should cancel all documentation requirements?
Anyways....I earn 64k per year and I want to take benefit of the mortagage crisis and buy a 900k home. I want the banks to continue with their past practice of providing cheap loans with no down-payment and not a lot of documentation. Would that be a valid demand?

Your are thinking under two assumptions:
1. There is nothing left for innovation in the tech field. so no new job creation is expected in the future.
2. There will be more supply of tech workers which will surpass the job creation rate (if in any amount) thereby depressing the wages.
who is to know that your assumptions are correct? :confused:
Whereas the reality is the job creation has been exponentially growing because of emerging technologies and the will to immigrate to US is surely on decrease and add reverse brain drain to it. So for next 5-10 years it will become increasingly difficult to find talented people as they will be evaporated from the market because of 65K H1B cap for last 3 years and a huge outflux of talented professionals.
I said this before in my previous posts and i will say it again. I you are worth your salt and know what you are doing, you will be worth your weight in gold in coming years. Stick to the fight and get your GC. :cool:
(BTW, for these opinions, i am inspired by a recent book i read on globalization- The world is Flat by Thomas Friedman. I think it shall be a must read for every H1B to GC applicant)

With the current rate of outsourcing happening around in US and the rate of influx of temporary workers coming in on mostly L1 and may be few on H1 B Visas every year through the outsourcing companies , i am sceptical about the future of GC aspirants. With the way of GC processing happening which are caused by restrictions /policies of governing bodies and no sight of positive relief in near future i am little apprehensive about the future.
I feel that there might be no areas that are not impacted by Outsourcing boom . Most of the companies that i see and my friends work ,i see many of the operations are outsourced or planning in place to get outsourced.
with the current rate of outsourcing and subprime mess which may cause slow down in economy , i am not sure if there would be any positions to support our AOS , when our PD becomes current. Some times i think , the fight for GC is even worth it.

Wish I could say something to help those who missed feel better. I was fortunate. My PERM (atlanta center which is another slow goer but nowhere like BECs) got approved on Aug 14. I filed aug 17 but don't think I submitted all needed docs due to unavailabilty of some. I saw some people at Atlanta center wait for much longer than PERM should take and they gave up. My heart goes out to everyone. We do need to become involved with IV...be it those who are ahead in the game, be those stuck in Atlanta PERM, be those stuck in BEC and/or coming out of it now. Each and every person must join so as to fix this broken immigration system. People are stuck in differnet stages and it's not fair, so do get involved and help IV in helping you.

No I did not, I put H1B transfer and joined new company later he found out and i told him over phone i joined another company but my H1B with his company is still active.

1) Try state group insurance
Texas and for that matter every state has a group insurance coverage for folks
who donot get coverage from any other insurance provider.
This is a coverage that you will get for sure, only document you will need is a written paper from insurance company that one cant be insured.
Check the state insurance board website.
2) check free clinics, these clinics will provide complete care ( you can pay them if you like)if you dont thats fine too. I suggest paying them if you can even if its a bit high, as someone who cant afford may one day get to use this service too.
3) Ask yours employer's insurance agent, group insurances gurantee insurance.
Donot worry, life works in interesting ways. As last resort one can go to home country for delivery.

I have suffered a lot due to this stamping business and I have a thread on IV "STUCK IN MONTREAL" I was there for almost 2 months with 2 of my sons and wife. My oldest one lost his full smester of college, 2nd one was only in 4th grade and got lucky due to his excellent record in school and hence was promoted, due to this stamping business and I was poorer by 30K. I will do whatever needs to be done to get this bill rolling and am ready to share my story with any one..
This was my 3rd stamping with the same employer and 2nd one was also in Toronto in 2005 at that time I had no problems and this time my salary was almost 30% more tan the last one in 2005.

EB2 India will move very fast till 01 JAN 06 as because based on June 2007 bulletin, just before the july fiasco,( http://travel.state.gov/visa/frvi/bulletin/bulletin_3236.html ) the PD for China is 01 JAN 06. That means in EB2 Category except India and China every other country is current. So till India reaches 01 JAN 06 PD in EB2, all the spill overs will be moved to EB2 India. By the time India EB2 reaches 01 JAN 06, China PD in EB2 will move further from 01 JAN 06 by using its 7% quota. So Inidia PD for EB2 again moves fast till that changed China PD using the spill overs. After that India and China will share the spill overs based on the PD priority. All this happens if and only if the USCIS works effectively and uses all the available visa numbers for the present fiscal year. My prediction for EB2 India PD is it touch 2005 /even cross few months in 2005 by the end of this year if USCIS works effectively.

I had also received an RFE.
An acceptable evaluation must:
1) consider formal eduction only
2) state if collegiate eduction is post-secondary education (i.e did appicant complete the US equivalant high school before entering college)
3) provide detailed explanation of material provided
For EB2 degree.. even if your labor states only Masters degree is required you need to prove that minimum education required for master's degree is Bachelors degree and a minimum requirement for Bachelors degree is your 10 + 2 high school education. Please contact thedegreepeople.com (sheila), they helped me in getting my I-140 approved.

In my earlier post, I dint mean to say that all Kinkos are bad, its just the particular one near me was not good enough. The photos were as if they were taken with a yellow filter on their lenses.
Sears did a very good job instead.
You can just tell them that you need photos for passport. They are the same requirements
Think it this way, your photo might be scanned by their machine to be printed on visa/notice. If the photo is not of good quality it might get pixelated after they scan.
So be your own judge, think if you were in USCIS shoes and had to scan a photo and produce it on visa/stamp. They might also use some image recognition softwares for which they require exact speicifications.
In my case the yellow tinge I got from kinkos exactly matches with the improper color on the website below. So i had to go for other option

The real problem is due to cost cutting in fiancial industry they are asking me either to take a full time if I wish to continue or terminate my contact as they do not have budget for next Year, So i dont know if my I 140 can get approved by that time (NExt month), But anyways thanks for a lot for guidance.
