Will CIS generate the Receipt notice first before transfering the application to the appropriate service center. ( like transfering the application from NSC -> TSC when the I-140 was approved at TSC but filed at NSC)

Thanks for clarification. I still disagree with you. Media outlets do measure the intensity of the issue but not by amount of SPAM they receive in e-mails. From my personal experince in talking to a journalist, if you send them an e-mail regarding the issue they have published they will definitely defend their point or refute yours and may even look at the issue from your point of view but in all cases they will reply. Now if you want to bring an issue to their attention all you need is take their article and simply put your perspective on it. It will have a far greater impact if it comes as a collective voice of an Organisation such as IV. That's why I originally questioned our approach of spaming them by sending 1000's of e-mail with the same issue. It doesn't bring much to the table. Right ? That's precisely the reason why all organisations have a media relations person who represents the collective view of the entire organization and manage the press releases and all contacts with media.
Any idea how many emails news media outlets recieve? Do you remember the emails Jim Carey reads in Bruce Almighty? he hee .. Some thing of that sort, if not of that magnitude. By sending more emails, we are making the media cognizant of the fact that its not one person but hundreds of thousands of people. I received my EAD last month. But no AP yet. However, i received an email from my lawyer today that.....my AP got rejected. The rejection letter is saying that I485 got approved that's why the I131 is rejected.....therefore, my lawyer is waiting for the I485 approval.....but my lawyer told me that I can expect my card soon.
I don't know how to react. The online doesn't have any update about the I485 status yet. They received my application on July 2, 2007.

I think there was one case that I saw at Murthy web site where the guy went backhome and got married. Came back and found that his green card was approved while he was in his home country and before the wedding took place. Interesting part was that his PD was not current at that time. Because of the situation, he couldn't bring in his wife in H4 anymore.
The lawyer recommended him to return his GC as it was mistakenly issued by USCIS. Lawyer had to deal with USCIS and returned the GC.

Do you know the difference between highly skilled legal immigrants and illegal immigrants?. They are here at the behest of their employers.

They have to say they oppose illegal immigration because it is the WSJ. Republicans read it and they like bashing the illegals and it increases circulation.

We have members from all over the world. And as far as EB-3 is concerned the entire category retrogressed -- all countries. We feel that this is a problem that affects all highly skilled workers.
One thing to remember is that reporters take snippets from hours of interviews, and then their editors edit the article down further.

Are they not supposed to make sure that they have enough senators on their side to pass this bill. Whatever we have won till this point is due to the efforts of core team and people who come to this website using media/campaigns. I have not seen results of any lobbying efforts by this lobbying firm. Am I wrong somewhere ?

my labor has to be pending 365 days or have an 140 approved to extend. so if pp goes away for 140 then my only option to stay in status is EAD. Also I am not in IT so patni,tcs etc...is out of question.

As you all know, they ask me to sign their contract in which its mention that if i leave their company before 1 year then i need to pay them 15k. Thy also charge me 3k for my H1-B which i am still paying everymonth from my paycheck and we have 70/30. In just six months i am so much fed up with them. These people are so rude...always show their arrogance over phone. I have no libarity to find job by myself. They always looking for higher pay rate sp that their big money tummy get filled up.and i also feel that they didnt told me the right pay rate for the project i am working on right now.
I really want to leave them, Even before 12 months. Is there any importance of that contract letter i signed with them?. Can they Sue me? What are my options? Please suggest me.....i am in stress.

My company lawyer addressed this part. The way it works is that they will work on your file only when your PD is current. So even if you apply now, they most likely wont work on it after July as your PD wont be current. Then when next time (say in Jan 2008) when your PD becomes current, they will pick up all the files for that month and start working on it. It might be that they will work on your file on Jan1st or Jan 31st. You can send your wife AOS the moment your PD becomes current. So you want to make sure that it reaches there before they approve your AOS. In case you are extremely unlucky, then they would start working on your file on 1st day of the month and finish it before end of that day, making it impossible for your wife's application to go through. Thats rare though. So if you can make sure that her app reaches on 1st day of the month in which PD is current, then they should most likely add her to your AOS and work on those together and make your life go forward....its a chance which you will be taking...But again life is a chance

However, I don't know if they send out RFE's when your PD is not current. Also, send your application just before Aug 17th (say 15th). I also read somewhere that when dates are current for a given PD, receipt date is the driving date.
Note: Not a lawyer, don't intent to be one (never).

If u guys are staying in an apt make sure u have both urs and ur wifes names on the letter box, since the EAD comes with a return service requested seal on it, if ur wifes name does not show up on the letter box there are chances that it would be returned to USCIS. this happened to me.

BTW, the huge number of Indian American partcipants is not due to the fact that " Indian Americans" are brilliant... These children (at least most) are partcipating not becasue they have talent but they are being forced to by the aspirations of their parents.
All the Indian American children are crying, sitting on the lap of their parents etc... See any other kid who lost, they were cool.
